Who is Guarding the Pakistani terrorists in UN council

Who is Guarding the Pakistani terrorists in UN council

Pakistan repeatedly attacking India, since the ceasefire agreement from 1999. Even last few years the attacks went more lethal. However it's a surprise how Pakistan keeps its stage strong in United Nations.Pakistan had a good company in the UN who's name is PRC. China is the only nation who repeatedly uses VETO to save Pakistan's face from International sanctions.

26/11 is the worst terrorist attack in Indian soil, who killed 166 peoples which include many foreigners. This one was executed by Pakistani intelligence wing and ISI trained terrorists. India investigated this attack with some foreign support and clearly collected good enough evidences connecting Pakistan governments involvement in this attack.

It's a surprise that there is no bill passed against Pakistan in UN. However due to the pressure from US. Pakistan arrests few suspects that India pointed. Few years after they were released. saying the Pakistani court there is no enough evidence to accuse them. He is now freely roaming in the Pakistani streets.

India bring this issue into UN, majority of nations supported the move, and stand with the Indian resolution. China is the only one who veto-ed the resolution and gives a cover to those LeT terrorists. Lakhvi is the master mind behind the 26/11 and he is a close aide to Hafeez Saeed the terrorist who founded many terrorist organization which include LeT.

With the pressure from US and other European nations, UN announced Hafeez saeed as a most wanted terrorist. US also announced $10 million ransom on Hafeez head. However he will be free in Pakistan with China's support who keeps the Pakistan away from sanctions.

In the recent days, India also brought up the Pathonkot attack into UN, and asks for a international investigation on this. Again China intervened the resolution and used the VETO. here Pakistan's face once again saved by China.

ADB is known as Asian development bank, who gives loan to Asian countries to develop their states. US, EU and many Asian nations among the members of ADB. India requested few hundred millions from ADB to develop India's north east regions like Arunachal and Sikkim. China is also a key member in the ADB who blocked the Indian request. However Japan comes into the game and provide finance assistance to develop Arunachal and Sikkim.

The recent news is about Masood Azhar, who is also a key terrorist who founded the terrorist organization like Jaish e Muhammad. Who also played key role in the 26/11 attacks. Due to International pressure Pakistan performed a house arrest on him, while he roaming in the Pakistani streets without any issues. India brings this matter into UN and asks for International ban on his terrorists organization.

China comes in the UN security council and veto-ed the Indian resolution. , India has slammed the use of "hidden veto" and demanded accountability, saying the world body's general members are never informed of the reason for not acceding to requests for sanctioning terrorists.

"The procedures of unanimity and anonymity of the Al Qaeda, Taliban and ISIS Sanctions Committees need to be revisited. The procedures of unanimity and anonymity result in a lack of accountability," India's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin told the UN Security Council in an open debate on 'Threats to International Peace and Security Caused by Terrorist Acts' on Thursday.

US is the only country who sanctioned Masood Azhar and his organization. US treasury is prohibiting Americans from "engaging in any transactions" with the Pakistan-based militant and JeM.

It's the China who keeping the Pakistan's face in UN otherwise most of the terrorist organization in Pakistan has been banned by UNSC. the sanctions absolutely cripples the organizations wealth and thinking twice before attacking India.

Understanding the nuclear Deterrence

Understanding the nuclear Deterrence

Nuclear weapons are known as the last sword to save the country before falling into enemy's hand, Nuclear weapons are considered as weapons of mass destruction, since they destroy large volume of area, more than that it makes the land inaccessible for humans for more than centuries, due to the radioactive materials continuously emit radio waves which can harm humans.

Nuclear weapons are considered as suicide weapon. also a self defense weapon too, if the enemy nation too posses the nuclear weapon, it could be used for self defense. Both can use the nuclear weapons  in case of anyone launched and vice versa. That's the reason why many nations instructed themselves by not using the nuclear weapons first. No first usage policy is commonly refereed term.

Meanwhile if the enemy nation do not have nuclear weapon, one can easily threaten the enemy with load of dossiers, just like how North Korean dictator Kim Jong repeatedly threatens the non nuclear pacific nations. Unlike in Indo-China-Pakistani theater all posses nuclear weapons. except Pakistan,  India and China had nuclear weapons in safe hand and No first usage policy.

When comes to Pakistan, the rough terrorist regime, who threatens India with tactical nuclear weapons to counter the Indian cold start military movement doctrine. The doctrine simply understand as "March towards Islam-a-bad" . Pakistan reports they can stop the Indian forces using the tactical nuclear weapons if they crossed the border.

Here Pakistan has a less powerful nuclear deterrence compared to India. If Pakistan conduct a nuclear strike against India, with the barrage of some 40 to 60 missiles with nuclear warheads. India may face huge casualty and India can lost many cities.

One has to be understand, those known missile defense systems will not work effectively due to the barrage of multiple launches. Pakistan can use their low yield short range nuclear missiles over India. Pakistan can achieve 20% of successful launches. Since 80% of the missiles can be either intercepted by AD system or launch failure, or missile malfunctions.

In retaliation, India can launch another barrage of some 100 missiles over Pakistan each targets major Pakistani cities with the hit probability of some 80%. with the huge Strike from India, Pakistan can be pushed back to ancient age and can be inaccessible for another some 200 or more years.

The reason why India boosting it's conventional capabilities to fight against Pakistan, In the limited conventional war India can defeat Pakistan. even with low friendly causalities. However Pakistan can use their lands and peoples can live there without any issues even losing to India in a conventional war. the same not available if they planned for a WMD usage.

It's clear, Pakistan can continuously black mail India, while not performing a one, Since all those Pakistani nuclear missiles are always tracked by different nations Intelligence wing as well as Indian intelligence too. They were placed within the strike range of Indian fighter aircraft's. Suppose any conditions Pakistan tries to launch a nuke missile, India can conduct a preemptive air strike targeting those launch pads.

The same can be switched towards Chinese point of view, China has large conventional fire power as well as Nuclear fire power compared to India, India will not pose any serious nuke threats to China, since India knows then the outcome from China may larger than assume in an nuclear war. with the massive number of arsenal, China can take out more than 50 top cities in India, where India can take out some 20 to 25 Top Chinese cities with nuke strikes.

Results can favor to China only, where they can capable to withstand from Indian nuke attack but not us. Moreover China has large significant military fire power, while India too have, both maintain no first usage policy too. So the Indo China war could be in the conventional field only.

Those Arihant series also as part of nuclear deterrence, If massive first wave of Chinese nuke strike disabled all ground launching and air launching capability. Those Arihants can retaliate the Chinese launch, This is a example of Suicide weapon.  On the other side, If India takes out Pakistani nuclear launching capability in first wave of attack, Pakistan has no option to retaliate. That Pakistan must understand before blackmailing India with nuke threats.

Chinese flankers deployed close to Indian border

Chinese flankers deployed close to Indian border

China increases it's military presence close to Indian border for the last couple years, which include new constructions, transport links and fighter aircraft facilities. The Indo China border almost covered by wide range of Chinese surveillance radars and fighter jets too, which can penetrate Indian air space very easily with the support of modern long range missiles such as S 400.

The Chinese air force is well equipped with modern combat aircraft's.having more than 1500 combat capable modern fourth generation fighter jets, which include more than 600 Flanker variants, who outnumbers entire Indian air force fighter numbers as of today. The heavy fighters supported by light fighter like J 10. and ground attack fighters like JH 7, who also act as a electronic attack fighter too.

Military analysts confirms that China deployed nearly five to ten squadron of fighter jets in the Lhanzu and Chengdu military regions, who covers northern and western Indian borders, those two military regions act as Indian front, who can focus only about India, China recently restructured the Military commands by changing the small operational regions into military regions, who focus India, Taiwan and Pacific separately.

In the Lanzhou military region who is part of the western military district, covers entire Tibet plateau and India's northern frontier. PLAAF deployed two Flanker squadron, three JH 7 squadron and two   J 10 squadrons. these fighter jets can be thrown in a matter of time towards India. the well equipped military base can allow large number of sortie rates and keeps the service availability of the fighters always in maximum.

Both the Flanker and JH 7 is long range fighter attacker, who specially placed near Tibet to attack Indian forward positions near Kashmir and Uthrakand, even it can try to penetrate the Delhi's airspace too with the EW support from JH 7.

The Lanzhou military region also well supported by aerial refulers and advanced air borne control systems and SIGINT platforms, the Y 8 and An 30 placed in the region can give real time target information to the friendly fighter jets.

Those are all nothing when the H 6 comes as front runner, actually those H 6 bombers could not breach the Indian airspace, due to it's speed and design, even it's older design too. However China uses the H 6 as a missile carrier, by carrying more number of long range cruise missiles, even the newer H 6 E/F variants are remodeled to carry nuclear missiles. In  conventional warfare they too act as a good cruise missile carrier, which can confuse the IAF radars and fighters so much.

So far there is no clear information available about the HQ 9 air defense units in Lanzhou, However entire airspace can be shielded by variety of Soviet designed Chinese cloned air defense missiles and artillery's. who poses a tough challenges to Indian air force, if IAF planned to perform close air support to ground troops. Since Chinese main goal is to keep the IAF sit in the hanger, where PLA ground troops easily outnumber Indian troops along the border.

Actual details about the Chengdu's military power is not available in open source, since many accused China make this route as favor for any offensive mission against India, who earn victory's in 1962. However satellite analysts reported the Chengdu almost as capable as the power of Lanzhou military region.

In what under new command both the Chengdu and Lanzhou military region comes under the Chinese western theater command, for quick response and focusing India as the main objective. On the other side India still trying to get good option to counter the Chinese deployment.

Chinese army spotted in Indo Pakistani border

Chinese army spotted in Indo-Pakistani border

Intelligence sources confirmed that the presence of Chinese army officials who closely working with the Pakistani army near to the Indo-Pakistani line of control. The boundary which divides the Pakistani occupied Kashmir from India. Military intelligence found the Chinese army officers near to the border since last six months.

The Chinese aka People Liberation Army officials spotted few days ago, near to the Nowgam sector in North Kashmir, where troops of PLA led by a colonel working with the Pakistani rangers in the Pakistani border outpost.

Intelligence wing also found that both PLA and PA working close to the boundaries to construct some infrastructures close to the border, Earlier reports revealed Pakistan planned to raise two platoons of troops in Pakistani occupied Kashmir to patrol and secure the Chinese Silk road.

Pakistan recently planned to deploy such large forces in occupied Kashmir, which creates issues on both sides, However the plan is still in the starting phase. In the name of securing the silk road Pakistan planning to deploy such large forces,

During a war, China and Pakistan can attack India easily via this road, both can deploy massive number troops near to this region within a matter of time. they also get unlimited supply from either Pakistan or Chinese side. as Indian options India always tries to target the Karakoram pass, which connects Pakistan and China together.

Army intelligence who acquired data from satellite, communication interception, and manned mission found that China also building a tunnel in the Leepa Valley in Occupied Kashmir, to reach the Karakoram pass, If India took out the Karakoram pass during the first wave of attack, China can use this tunnels to reach Pakistan or vice versa. Some sources said that they working in the region for the past six months.

As a third spotting, last year, Chinese military units spotted in a Hydroelectric power plant in Tangdhar, Occupied Kashmir, A Chinese private company currently building the Power plant to the Pakistan with Jhelum river as the main source. this is another excuse to the Chinese to deploy their ground forces in Occupied Kashmir.

As China almost encircled India, India also trying to find the path to counter the Chinese with International assistance, while India needs to start almost everything from scratch, and it needs lots of time and cost to materialize it.

China warned many times India, to do not join with the south Pacific nations, and wants to isolate India from the anti-Chinese alliance, However, India managed to check the Chinese from all available sides, from south China sea, Arunachal and Eastern Ladakh, India stands strong to counter the Chinese influence.

South China sea almost under control of China, Study warns

South China sea almost under control of China, Study warns

The recent report who revealed the Pakistani nuclear missile threat, also study's about the possible outcome from the South China sea, and the Chinese illegal construction in the artificial island, which poses serious threat to South Asian interests, The main objective of the Chinese military is to operate the artificial island as a Forward military base.

Not only the forward airbase, China also plans to build more number of aircraft carriers to stand against the pacific nations and the US Navy. China plans to construct nearly five new aircraft carrier before 2030. with new power projection and the artificial Island, China may eventually controls the entire south China sea, and explores all the natural resources close to South China sea, China may achieve this by 2030. The CSIS study reveals.

The Study also proposes the US government to expand the fleet presence in South China sea, with the cooperation of south Asian allies, US is the first nation who sails within the territorial waters of Artificial Island, South Asian nations, which include India also send it's warships as temporary deployment close to South China sea to show off against Chinese activities.

Recent satellite images shows the Island construction almost completed, China already started deploying it's military jets and other defensive missiles, China also send it's passenger aircraft in that Island, who also performed take off and Landing missions. China deploys artillery's and coastal missile batteries in the Artificial Island.

In future China may pose serious threat against the US Naval ships, which makes the situation even worsen, Since many countries include India also invested huge amount in South China sea to explore natural resources for Vietnam.

India plans set up a satellite tracking and imaging centre in southern Vietnam that will give Hanoi access to pictures from Indian earth observation satellites that cover the region, including China and the South China Sea. ISRO will fund and set up the satellite tracking and data reception centre in Ho Chi Minh City to monitor Indian satellite launches, the Indian officials said. with the expected cost at around $23 million.

The Study Points three major facts, Protecting US citizens and allies, promoting trade and economy, and promoting universal norms, As simply stopping the Chinese to intervening in international free waters.   However the need of Asian alliance against China is must need to neutralize the Chinese  activities.

Early, many Nations which include India and US plans to create a organization to act against Chinese illegal activities in South Asian waters, Which include the earlier air defense identical zone close to Taiwan air space and the Illegal claims of Japanese Senaku Diyaou Islands, However due to pressure from China and Russia forced to close the alliance against China.

Pentagon warned the Chinese, just after the report from CSIS, Saying, "China taking 'self-isolating' steps in South China Sea ". the statement also stated that, US is trying to solve the South China sea through diplomatic routes, However China pushing the US to take military action against the Chinese, who posing threat against US allies,

Carter who issued the statements and also spoke about the anti Chinese alliance, saying We don't seek to ask people to take sides. We do know that people are coming to us increasingly. Why is that? It is because China is taking some steps that I fear are self-isolating, driving towards a result that none of us wants.

China set to deploy 5000 Elite Troops in Syria

China set to deploy 5000 Elite Troops in Syria

The Chinese government agreed the Russian proposal of sending ground troops in Syria to help Assad by fighting against Syrian Rebels and ISIS. The Chinese parliament passed a bill in last Sunday that would allow the Chinese troops to carryout anti terror missions abroad. After passing the bill, China announced that they will ready to deploy some 5000 elite special forces into Syria to carryout ground operation.

China is known as five super power nation with huge military and ground forces. However China is known for least experienced ground forces in the world when comes to counter terrorism missions. Actually China too faced some terrorists activities in Chinese Islamic populated city Uighur, with the powerful ground forces China managed to eradicate the terrorist activities. China also deployed some ground forces in many African nations to secure their interests.

Nigeria is known as better Chinese influence in Africa, Where most of the Business carried out by Chinese Tycoons. they were protected by the Chinese intelligence and Chinese forces. The China also earlier carried out drone tests in Nigeria. However the test failed. China always relies on their troop numbers. They easily outnumber enemy troops by deploying more troops in a matter of time. The Blue water Navy from China also kept ready near the coasts for emergency assistance.

One of the Chinese special forces under PLA known as "Siberian Tiger" The elite ground forces known as conducting special operation missions in any situations. They were trained in Air and Water too. China plans to deploy some 2000 plus elite Siberian Tigers into Syria to assists Syrian Iranian Hezbollah terrorist led ground offensive against FSA and ISIS in Syria.

Night Tiger is another Chinese special forces who specially trained in counter terrorism operations. The Special forces known as one of the first Chinese active Counter terrorism group which was established in early 2000. China plans to send some 3000 Night Tigers into Syria. They too work with the Siberian Tigers and their missions.

It's a good chance to China to show their capabilities to the world, While most of the western military analysts founds flaws in each and every military hardware's. from their QBZ reverse engineered assault rifle to their modern Military Tanks too.

There is some reports also circulated in the internet and media that Chinese Navy already dispatched the Liaoning carrier strike group to Mediterranean for possible air support to the Chinese troops deployed in Syria. The source is yet to be confirmed, From early October same kind of news appearing in the media and Internet. However still there is no clear information's about the carrier deployment.

China remains one of the good ally to Syria, and committed to provide more than $30 billion for post war reconstruction in Syria. China is believed behind the Russian air campaign who provide economic assist to Russia.

Cornering China, US Clears warship sale to Taiwan

Cornering China, US Clears warship sale to Taiwan

In a move to counter the Chinese forces, US Congress agreed a billion dollar warship sales to the Island nation Taiwan. The Chinese reacted very anger to this foreign military sale, and said the proposed sale will change the military balance in Chinese region. China also summons US Ambassador for the military supply to Taiwan. Taiwan is one of the most pro American Nation who continuously supports the Honk Kong Freedom movements. A 200 km sea lane is the border between China and Taiwan.

The Proposed US Congress military supplies to Taiwan is, Two Perry Class 4400 Ton frigates, Javelin 3rd Generation anti tank missiles, TOW Anti tank missiles, Stinger Man portable air defense missiles, Sea Whiz Land based CIWS batteries, Hundreds of AAV-7 Amphibious Assault Vehicles and some other communication equipment's. The deal value estimated some $1.8 billions.

The Chinese vice foreign minister, Zheng Zeguang, said “Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory,” and “China strongly opposes the U.S. arms sale to Taiwan.”  He also said the arms sale violates international law and harms China’s sovereignty and security interests. “To safeguard our national interests, China has decided to take necessary measures, including imposing sanctions against the companies involved in the arms sale,” Zheng said. “No one can shake the firm will of the Chinese government and people to defend their national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to oppose foreign interference.”

Chinese government also said that, China will never recognize Taiwan as an Independent country, And said US always making troubles in Chinese foreign policy's. Which will destabilize the relationship between China and USA. China also hints Taiwanese supports to the US and South Asian nations freedom of Navigation missions close to South China sea. India also a part of that alliance who regularly conducting naval mission close to South China sea.

In Reply, The US State Department spokesperson Dave McKeeby said the sale is consistent with the United States support for Taiwan to defend itself under the Taiwan Relations Act and is consistent with Taiwan’s defense needs. The US Congress's Foreign relations members also defended the Congress proposals of arming the Taiwanese to safeguard their interests.

Perry Class Frigates are made by Americans in the early 1980's to 2000. The US Navy decommissioned all the Perry Class frigates from it's fleet. and allowed to sale the same to foreign nations. US also allowed some other nations to build the same class with slight modifications. The Taiwan Navy currently operates eight Perry Class frigates, where all of them built in Taiwan shipyards and assisted by the Americans.

The new US supplies comes up with two additional Perry class frigates. This will sums up total frigates count to ten. The Ships are modernized with new systems before transferred to the Taiwan Navy. The retrofitted warships will be transferred as early as 2016 a US Spokesperson said.

The Modified Perry Class frigates armed with AN SPS 49 Air search Radar and AN SPS 55 Surface search radar to scan both air and sea surface for targets. The Perry class fitted with the AN/SQS 56 Sonar systems. The fire control system comprised with STIR Radar system.

Javelin Missile

The Ship comes with single arm launcher that can launch interceptor missile SM 1 whose range upto some 160 kilometers and the interception altitude is 80,000 feet. The same arm launcher can launch Harpoon anti shipping missiles too. However some modified systems replaced with Taiwanese HF 3 supersonic Anti shipping cruise missiles.

The Primary defensive systems includes the CIWS and Torpdeo Decoy systems. The Perry class carry's single Sea Whiz Close in weapon system and six 324mm Torpedo's. The electronic warfare suite comprised with NATO standard AN/SLQ 82. Other systems like 30mm cannon and 76mm OTO Melera Naval artillery systems.

Apart from that warship sale, US Supplies Javelin anti tank guided missiles for infantry supports and second generation TOW anti tank guided missiles. The deal value and actual numbers are unknown. US also agrees to supply Stinger man portable air defense missiles to shoot down low flying helicopters and fighter jets.

Four Years ago, US and Taiwan signed a deal to buy F 16 Blk 52 fighters for some $5 billions. The Chinese too reacted the same. However US never given up and supplies the fighter jets and associated equipment's. Interestingly most of the Taiwanese weapons are sourced from United States.

China test fires anti Satellite missile, India yet to Develop

China test fires anti Satellite missile, India yet to Develop

The Long March 11 Rocket with Dong Neng Kill Vehicle
China successfully carried out another anti satellite missile test on Oct 30, and they officially acknowledged about the tests only after some days when US publishes about the Chinese missile launch. Two independent Chinese officials from Military and space program confirm the test and said it's a anti ballistic missile to counter enemy ballistic missiles not a anti satellite system. Sources say the missile did reached at the altitude of some 18,000 miles from earth, where most of the Navigational and intelligence satellites orbiting.

China said it's a new system to evaluate the mid course interception of ballistic missile, similarly  to the American THAAD missile defense system. China did have two Anti satellite missile's SC 19 and DN 3, First one is used for destroying sub orbiting small SAR satellites, and the DN 3 used for destroying spy satellites and Navigational satellites in high orbit. The SC 19 already operational while DN 3 become operational before 2020. China conducting more tests to evaluate the operational capability of the missile.

China actively interested in space based warfare, where both Russians and Americans agreed to limit their development in ASAT Technology. China testing anti satellite missile from 2007, in the first test they successfully destroyed a sub orbiting weather satellite. The test actually shocked the US and the Russians, The destruction caused severe problems to other satellite's orbiting at the same altitude. US Russia and many nations concerned about the debris of the satellites which poses threat to manned International Space station.

China conducted more tests later years, So far China successfully conducted six anti satellite missiles, which is the known number in public medium, US is the only nation who has many systems to track each and every ballistic missiles conducted by any nation in the world. China conducted last test from Korla missile test complex in west China close to Mongolia.

India operates long range tracking Radar which can track ballistic missile as far as some 2000 Kilo meters, However China conducted this test far from that range. Also it's hard to detect a anti satellite missile, because it hits the target at the space not in the land. The recent test shows Chinese capability of striking satellites anywhere in the orbit. which means during any war escalation against China, they will target Indian military satellites first to blind Indian defense assets.

DF 21 A Ballistic missile modified into SC 19 for ASAT missions

Wikileaks once quoted that US, India and some other Asian nations issued protests to Chinese Anti satellite test when they conducted a successful anti satellite missile test in January 2010. The missile tests conducted using the SC 19 Space Rocket who carries the hit to kill vehicle to destroy sub orbiting satellite targets. Even after, China conducted more than four successful tests.

India on other side yet to test fire a ASAT missile, It's reported by DRDO's director general VK Saraswat during an seminar in IIT Bombay, that India developing a atmospheric kill vehicle which will be used in modified Agni missiles to act as a sub orbital Anti satellite missile. So far there is no clear progress in the missile program.

The Agni missiles has don't have enough range to fly much height to meet the Satellites, where most of the satellites placed well above than 10,000 kilometers from earth. While Agni missiles can go as much as height of some 1000 kilometers only, It's reported that modified Agni variant of ASAT missile can go over 3000 kilometers to perform sub orbit SAR satellite destruction missions.

However this will not makes sense, while most of the Chinese Navigational Satellites like Beidou and other military and spy satellites fly well above than 15,000 miles above the earth's atmosphere, If India tries to shoot down any Chinese sub orbiting commercial satellites, then China will brings down entire Indian Satellites orbiting in the space.

For the above some reasons, India must project their ambition to develop a real anti satellite missile rather than named ASAT missile. While the five nation council in UN, Seriously discussing about banning anti satellite missile test and Hyper sonic missile test, once they matured in these kind of advanced technologies. So India must accelerate those Hyper sonic and Anti satellite project before the International ban applied on those kind of tests.

ITBP plans new Command Center in Leh

ITBP plans new Command Center in Leh

ITBP all set to commence new command center in Leh, to counter Chinese movements near Ladakh and Leh regions, recently Soldiers from Indian Army and ITBP commandos destroyed a small Chinese watchtower inside Indian territory, also Chinese Soldiers confronting Indian soldiers near border regularly, Indian Soldiers need to clear bunch of protocols before taking any action against the Chinese forces, there is no reports of using fire arms, however small manhandling reported many times, that can easily pave the way to use the fire arms, to eradicate the time delay and  perform quick reaction, ITBP asks the Ministry for a new Command center near Leh.

The Home Minister, Rajnath Singh recently visited the Border area's and interacted with the Soldiers and officers posted close to International Border, they demanded a separate command center near Leh, to counter the Chinese infiltration near Ladakh and Leh, with the words from ITBP, once Rajnath return to Delhi, he starting working on the proposed plan.

As of now, there were two ITBP head quarters, one is in Leh another is in Srinagar, however both of these head quarters under controlled by the ITBP Director General in Chandigarh, He is also responsible for the ITBP commando's deployed close to borders from Kashmir to Arunachal, so any precaution measures or orders should need the DG's approval, thus makes a huge delay before making any actions, What ITBP need is a new Command Headquarter in Leh, who can independently take decision and works very close to the Indian Army's 14 corps in Leh, thus give an upper hand to ITBP to confront Chinese incursions close to border.

This allows ITBP and Indian Army works very closely, Since Indian Army has a command center in Leh, and ITBP has a Base camp in Daulat Beg Oldie, from their only ITBP send it's Soldiers to Patrol close to border Area's. ITBP, which is the first point of response to any incursion by the PLA, and the New command in Leh will be a completely new Command under the banner of `Ladakh Command’ and works on setting up the Headquarters at Leh would start soon, the Army too asking such separate command in Leh, however the Defense ministry Rejected it and keeps the Ladakh Base under Northern Military command. Indian Army's 14 corps currently deployed in Leh sector.

As recently Ministry okay's ITBP's proposal of building 40 new Border outposts, where Chinese shows concern about Indian constructions close to borders, however Ministry sticks with his plans and rejected  Chinese plea.Home Ministry also willing to give two Mi 17 helicopters to ITBP to resupply the soldiers posted close to border,

India destroys Chinese Watch tower near DBG

India destroys Chinese Watch tower near DBG

Combined team from Indian Army and Indo Tibet Border Police commando's destroys a Chinese built small watch tower inside Indian Territory, which leads a small deployment of force and stand off between  Indian and Chinese Forces, the Chinese made many attempts to breach the line of actual control, earlier in 2013 they camped inside Indian Territory, later the incident was solved by diplomatic relations, to ease the tensions between Indian and Chinese patrol Both of them set up flag meeting to resolve minor disputes themselves,

When ever there is a incursion happens, both of them calls for a flag meeting to ease the tensions, also they conduct regular talks to stop the Chinese adventures cross border patrols, the Indian Chinese borders are not fenced or marked, they follows the earlier stone signs to identify their lands, as of 2015 there were nearly 150 such attempts were foiled by Indian forces when Chinese tries to enter Indian lands.

Recently when the ITBP patrols near the Line of actual control, they found a small temporary camp/watch tower  inside Indian territory and found that was constructed by the Chinese to observe Indian Positions and movements, ITBP forces informed about this incident to the ITBP Base commander, and base commander informs the same to Indian Army's Northern command, both of them send normal message to the Chinese field commander about the incident and asks for a flag meeting

The Indian side waited for the Chinese to start the dialogues, they never came, when the wait is over, The Army's northern command and ITBP's Daulat Beg Oilde command send a team to destroy the Chinese Construction, within a minutes the Army and ITBP Commands destroys the Chinese construction and plans to move their respected bases,

Within a matter of time some hundred plus fully armed Chinese men entered inside Indian land and inspects the destroyed construction, Army and ITBP informed about the incident to the troop commander and shouted " Chinese Please go away from Indian Land ". The Indian Army too deployed some fully armed combat Team from Mountain division, both of them face off each other for  some hours, and Indian Army spotted fast moving vehicles from Chinese side, and Thinks Chinese massing their build up, so Indian Army command also readies it's combat vehicles from Daulat Base,

However the inbound vehicles come and pickup those Chinese troops and fled away from the scene,  once they vacated the area, Army also moved out from the scene and ITBP continued their regular patrol,

Nearby LAC, China had some two operational bases Just miles away from the LAC, where Indian's have one large base in Daulat Beg oldie with an operational Air strip, earlier IAF lands it's Hercules special operation plane in that landing strip, such facilities not available in Chinese side, however the base is some 20 miles away from the border, the soldiers construct temporary camps to patrol the border 24x7, the Chinese bases too situated some 20 miles away from the border, they too build temporary camps to conduct Patrols, and sometimes they build those camps inside India, that's the major reason behind the face off.

The Line of Actual control is regularly patrolled by the  Indian Army and  the ITBP commando's, where Army's Northern command located in Leh, where massive Indian Army is deployed and they were ready to be moved nearby borders within a hour.

Checking the PLAN by ramping up Andaman and Nicobar Command

Fortifying Andaman and Nicobar to check PLAN

Officials under the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) have issued warnings after PLAN warships have repeatedly been found snooping close to Indian Territory.  Andaman and Nicobar Islands are placed under ANC, India’s only strategic command comprising of the Army, Air force and Navy. A report from ANC has found Chinese warships attempting to cross over to Indian waters on a repeated succession. Andaman and Nicobar Command have detected Chinese naval ships very close to India’s territorial waters in the recent past. A elaborated yet unconfirmed report from ANC states that PLAN ships attempt to get close at least twice every three months. The intrusions have been on the rise in the past six months.

In a move to counter the Chinese, MoD is now contemplating to deploy more assets under the strategic ANC. ANC is composed mainly around Naval forces and comprises of 20 major warships and patrol vessels, two Navy Sea bases, four Air Force and Naval Air bases and an Army brigade. ANC is India’s first and only joint tri-service command. INS Jarawa is centric to all naval operations happening under the command; INS Baaz and the Car Nicobar Air Force base are the only bases to operate Air assets. The ANC was setup in 2001, with all the land, sea and air military forces under one operational commander. But the command has largely failed to live up to its initial promise.

ANC mainly operates Patrol vessels, which have been charged with the conducting reconnaissance and surveillance around the EEZ of India. These vessels lack primary long range surveillance radar and equipped with 76 mm naval guns these vessels can effectively subdue smaller threats but they lack a primary offensive weapon and hence can’t deal with larger threats. ANC also operates amphibious assault vessels, which can be effectively used for mounting amphibious operations. These amphibious assault vessels have reached their shelf life and have to be replaced to boost the operational capabilities.

The air wing under ANC is formed around the Dornier Do 228 surveillance platform, these aircraft is being currently used as the primary recon and surveillance platform by the command. Bigger ASW platforms like the P8I and Tuplov have been deployed temporarily after runways at INS Baaz and Car Nicobar Air base were increased in length.  ANC also operates Mi-8 and Mi-17 V5 fleet of copters to support amphibious operations. An air defense wing was deployed temporarily under the command. Plans to field a squadron of India’s most advanced jet fighters, the Su-30 MKI have been afloat with the MoD.

PLAN has forward deployed its modern Frigates and Destroyers to the bases close to Andaman and Nicobar. Islands around Andaman are critically important considering the close proximity to the strategic Malacca strait. Instances of PLAN’s Diesel-Electric submarines lurking close to EEZ have also been reported. China is also rumoured to have signed an agreement with the Myanmar government to lease Coco Islands, where a small naval outpost has been erected by PLAN. The Coco Island is around 70 nautical miles away from the Andaman Islands.

INS Baaz; Broadsword

Considering the proximity to the Malacca strait, Islands around Andaman and Nicobar assume great importance. Almost 70% of Chinese export is based on sea routes and the sea lanes passing through Malacca strait account to almost 90% of China’s oil import. If a naval blockade is imposed around the Malacca strait, China would be chocked off Oil and other crucial supplies in a matter of days. The waters around Bay of Bengal are the doorway to mainland territory of India. In a war scenario PLAN will surely mount an offensive operation on Andaman command.  Islands around the disputed Coco Islands have also been placed under ANC and these Islands can be the real changers in a war.

The current scenario of ANC is quite disturbing, the assets under ANC would fail to repel a Chinese advancement nor to the have the capability to counter Chinese fleet passing through the Malacca Strait. Officials under ANC have in the past repeatedly requested the government to diplomatically deal with the Chinese presence around the Coco Islands. AS a means to counter the Chinese, Indian government has drawn up elaborate plans to modernize several bases under ANC.

In a move to ramp up the air defense posture of the command, INS Baaz and the Car Nicobar Airbase were modernized. Newer facilities for the maintenance and housing of aircraft were provided, the runway length was increased significantly to allow larger aircraft to operate from these forward bases. But till date larger aircraft operating under the ANC have only been on the papers. During the search operation for MH-370, Long Range Surveillance Aircraft like P8I and Tuplov operated out of INS Baaz. India’s modern submarine killer aircraft, P8I was posted on a temporary rotation to ANC but was withdrawn shortly.

The facilities available at these bases are satisfactory for the government to deploy modern and long range aircraft. The addition of P8I to the ANC, will be a major game changer in the stand against PLAN.  IAF can also forward deploy its fleet of strategic air lifters. The deployment of C-130 J and C-17 globe master or the IL-76 will boost the strike capabilities of the command. The plans to deploy the air superiority Su-30 MKI needs to be fastened up and the deployment of these aircraft deter the daring Chinese.

Air force can also consider forward rotating its squadrons till time the Su-30 MKI are available for deployment. The amount of aircraft retiring from the force has forced the government to rethink its strategy towards ANC.  Indian Navy will also be shortly acquiring the Naval version of the MiG 29 fighters from Russia for its IAC-I project. Government can also ponder upon acquiring another squadron of these effective aircraft for Anti-Shipping roles under the ANC.

ANC Representation; Net

The air defense module under the command is another matter the government needs address. The command currently lacks an effective air defense system, deployment of Akash SAM systems and Barak systems will address these issues.  The deployment of land based coastal missile batteries is underway and the Navy has issued a RFP for the project.

Plans of setting up a fully operational naval base have been under since the command was setup. Navy on several occasions has raised its concern regarding the delay in commissioning forward naval bases. The top command is learn to have suggested the Government to forward deploy submarines at these bases. But the crippling numbers in the underwater force has left the government with little choice. Indian navy will be acquiring the modern P-75 and it’s first indigenously developed nuclear submarine, INS Arihant shortly. With the completion of these projects the submarine force will receive a major boost, hence the government can contemplate posting submarines in the near future.

The surface combatants under the ANC have also been depleting, the command currently operates amphibious vessels and patrol vessels. The deployment of Saryu class patrol vessels have been welcomed by officials under the command.  The deployment of Destroyers, Frigates and Missile boats can serve as a strong message to the PLAN. ANC should be given a major boost to mount amphibious operations, the addition of Large LHD vessels and amphibious vessels clubbed with the deployment of a brigade of Indian Army personnel is guaranteed to guard the Islands against any threats by the PLAN.

Indian government has shown keen interest in ramping up the capabilities of the Andaman and Nicobar command. Various projects to modernize forward bases around the Islands are nearing completion. These bases are critical in establishing a naval blockade and are bound to deter the over adventurous PLAN in the Indian Ocean.

The Sabotage of India's 'Cold Dreams, the Cryogenic death and revival'

The Sabotage of India's 'Cold Dreams, the Cryogenic death and revival'

History was written in golden words on 27th August 2015, by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). ISRO had flown the Indian flag high and had made the nation proud by fortifying its position in the 'Cryo Club'. ISRO successfully completed the launch campaign of GSLV – D6 carrying India’s latest communication satellite GSAT – VI to a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). Equipped with the indigenous Cryogenic Upper Stage (CUS), the GSLV – D6 had a textbook lift off from the Second launch pad at SHAR. After a undergoing the preparatory 29 hour countdown, the 416 tonne, 49 m tall GSLV-D6 carrying the 2117 kg GSAT-6, blasted off towards the sky as the clock struck 16:52 Hrs.

At about T -5 seconds before the scheduled lift-off, the four external strap-on's powered by a liquid propellant were ignited signalling the launch of GSLV-D6. Assisted by the solid propellant fueled first stage core motor, GSLV blasted off carrying the dreams of ISRO high-up to the skies. With the HSS separating the control room at SHAR, glued its sight to the giant trajectory tracer. With the Second stage successfully burning out and separating, the wait for the CUS ignition had began. The indigneously developed CUS ignited, lifted the payload soaring up and separated following a flawless flight . Following this, GSAT-6 separated from CUS about 17 minutes after launch. The CUS or Cryogenic Upper Stage was a technology that took ISRO years to develop. The way CUS was constituted is no short of any thriller story!!! So what exactly followed in India mastering this technology?

GSLV - D6

The development of Cryogenic system is an extremely complicated process and often requires the best technologies available in the field to be implemented to obtain the most efficient result. ISRO worked years to master the technology which was denied repeatedly by the world powers just for the fear of a reverse engineered ballistic missile technology landing right in the doors of ever capable Indians. The GSLV program was constituted in the 1980’s by the Indian government to master the technology for launching Geosynchronous satellites to GTO. With the PSLV program being a great success, ISRO choose to retain junk of major components used on the PSLV and also decided to field the liquid fuelled Vikas engine. The barrier in attaining GTO was always the need to master Cryogenic technology.

The only nations that had mastered the complex cryogenic technology were USSR and USA. India approached both the nations for the complex technology to be in house and to be incorporated in its further mission. USA responding positively to the request had put in charge General Dynamics Corporation for gifting India it’s last piece in the space race. But the cost was a concern and America denied providing ToT, at certain key junctures, fearing a flank ISRO soon turned down the American offer. The next in the race was India’s trusted ally, Russia, which promised India the KVD-1, built by the Isayev Design Bureau. The KVD-1 had unsurpassed thrust and launch capabilities, the very same engine was developed as a part of Russia’s race to land men on moon. Russia offered two fully built KVD-1 and also promised a complete TOT, all a mere cost of US $200 million deal.

On 18th January 1991, ISRO and Russian Space agency Glavkosmos signed an elaborate agreement for the ToT of cryogenic engines. The ToT would India would join the league mastered only by Russia and USA and theoretically, India would also have a system that could be mutated to an effective IRBM system with sustained efforts. But the mutation was not an easy process, and the use of hydrogen as a propellant in the upper stages meant that the system could be launched at moments, as against ICBM system requirements. America actively pursued every possible way to curb this development and landed upon the ‘violation of MTCR’ agreements by Russia. With the collapse of USSR, and facing an economical downfall Russia itself was under the umbrella of USA.

Vikas Engine

With Russia and India not yielding to the international pressure, USA imposed sanctions on ISRO and Russian space agencies and chocked every development project implanted by ISRO with foreign collaborations. Under the pressure of Clinton, Russia finally backed down on the deal agreed to supply India seven fully built engines for further missions. With Russia denying the technology, the race an indigenously developed Cryogenic system was kicked off by ISRO. Very few breakthroughs were made in the years to come, India was forced to either work in incognito or acknowledge the project by seeking the help of international players. Rumours of Russia covertly transferring the technology to India are a common part of the developmental story.

The said deal is captured by Brian Harvey in his book ‘Russia in Space: The Failed Frontier’. With Russia agreeing to ratify the MCTR clauses, a small window for the transfer of technology opened up but that mandated the deal could never be acknowledged by both the nations. Harvey quotes ‘ISRO contacted Air India and requested to transport the components and blue prints without acknowledging the parcels’. Air India soon turned down the request raising concerns about the large CIA network that would be tipped at the slightest of the onset on Indian bound flights. The next in the list was Russian ‘Ural Airlines’, with Russia backing the deal Ural was soon to agree for the deal.

The risk was huge but the relationship between India and Russia was eternal, India was an ally Russia could never manage losing and it went the other way around. With America pushing diplomatically to seal all the loops, the transfer were shrouded in secrecy active spy ring of CIA was scouring Russia to catch hold of USSR’s technology. Russia then transferred the relevant documents, equipments and machinery on board covert Ural flights which were accounted as transferring Indian aircraft technology to be tested in Russian wing tunnel facilities.

Mahendragiri; ISRO

Every single flight had to be meticulously planned, every component had to be accounted for and a perfect cover drawn, the slightest change and America would be catching up with the story. The transfers had to happen in the dead of the night, the biggest problem was when the components were being loaded in Russia. The aircraft was officially carrying aircraft components from India, so the aircraft had to be sent to India with minimal load, every cargo going on was personally being handled by 'Nambi Narayanan' who had made several trips to Russia. The risk of CIA or other intelligence agencies tracking the package was always a live threat, the way the components reached 'VSSC, Thriuvananthapuram' has been never revealed to the public. The risk was immense but Russia had covertly passed on the blueprints and basic technology to India for starting off with its indigenous cryogenic dream.

By 1992, the work on the cryogenic systems had started in VSSC, Thriuvananthapuram under secrecy but the constant visit of top space brains to the facility had set-off alarms in Washington D.C. CIA by then had confirmed the existence of a project being actively pursued by ISRO to develop a powerful launch system. CIA had thus got the wind of the project and soon tapped its sources in Russia, within months the free flow of technology to ISRO was confirmed and as an icing, CIA received disturbing news of India having achieved major breakthroughs in the development project.

It is strongly believed by the late 1994, ISRO had significantly mastered the technology and were in the process of implementing the complex tech barrier to attain the masterpiece. But by then a jolt had struck the project right at its heart, a major scandal involving key personnel of VSSC was aired in national news channels across India. Two eminent scientists 'Nambi Narayanan', Project Director (PD) of Cryogenic project and 'D. Sasikumaran', In-charge of Propulsion were charged of leaking crucial information to foreign intelligence agency agents. Serious charges of Espionage was levelled against the top brains of ISRO, they were accused of transferring key developmental data two Maldivian intelligence officers after accepting millions for the exchange. The charges were grave and on 30th October 1994, 'Narayanan' was arrested on charged of Espionage and falling for a well set honey trap.

Narayanan, Frm. Deputy Director Cryogenic System

A detailed investigation by CBI, Intelligence Bureau (IB) found the charges to have been purely fabricated at the behest of an unseen force. The whole case was dismissed by the Supreme Court, the apex judiciary body in India. A compensation of around Rs 1.5 crore was awarded to each individual and every charge leveled was subsequently dropped. They never returned to the developmental wing of ISRO, they were reinstated in 1998 and were transferred out of VSSC to a desk job in HQ, Bengaluru. Narayanan was the one who introduced the concept of liquid propulsion in India, a revolutionary technology which changed the course of space capabilities possessed by ISRO. India’s celebrated ‘Chandrayan’ and the ‘Magalayaan’ missions were centric around the Vikas liquid propelled engines, a pet project of 'Narayanan'. D.Sasikumaran was the men in charge of fabricating and manufacturing cryogenic systems but his designation today is in SAC, Ahmadabad.

The real target was always compromising India’s quest for Cryogenic technology, India was extremely close to realizing this dream, work was headed in the right way and India was not really far from realizing the dream. ISRO had succeed in setting up test facilities in Mahendragiri, TN where repeated tests had proved the project was headed down the right way. The GSLV was designed to be a three staged rocket, a solid propellant motor was to fire the rocket in the primary flight just after the external strap-on’s separated. Led by India’s most celebrated scientist ‘APJ Abdul Kalam’, India had successfully developed the solid motors, the technology was being actively used in SLV and missile systems.
SasiKumaran; Fmr. In-Charge Cryogenic Systems

The next up was the liquid propulsion systems, which was being mastered under the guidance of 'Narayanan'. The upper stage was to be powered by cryogenic system, which India had imported from Russia at a whopping cost of US $220 million. India was a rapidly developing country, placing satellites in the GTO was a sheer necessity to India. Further import from Russia was economical unviable and seeking the help of USA was humiliating, may this was the force that kept us driving. Cryogenic systems were being developed by VSSC under 'SasiKumaran', India after all had the blueprints from Russia. World had several times realized the capability of India, given a clean slate India was capable of putting up the best image. The case was complicated here, India had the know-how, and the answer was ready made only implication was to be made.

Given all the factors, India was bound to master the technology in less than a decade. The threat of India developing an IRBM was never a worry, global powers had realized DRDO was way ahead in the GMP and was bound to bring the world under its reach. But the real concern for global powers was the commercial interest, India was known to develop technology at the lowest possible production cost. The project rate itself would be extremely minimal, India was capable of offering extremely cost effective GTO missions to the world. A few nations had conquered this complex technology, the need was high, and every country needed a satellite for secure communications and for their forces. Losing the market to a third world country was a concern for some of the leading countries. The only way out was to block from India developing a cryogenic engine.

Countries had tried diplomatically to wind up the project, it had worked but the knife had turned, the diplomatic pressure had meant India had its free hand in tweaking the technology to its need. MCTR had worked initially but now the program was shrouded in secrecy even worrying it was being developed indigenously, there was no way India could be publically driven away from achieving a mile-stone. The only option was a surgical strike right at the heart of the program, India loved peace and the world had reciprocated the damage peacefully, any new drama’s a befitting reply was guaranteed. Hence the blow was struck silently as covertly as the project had started. Two of its top brain framed in a case that never had the base, a case that saw some of the ugliest faces of Indian politics coming out from the hiding shadows.

The Cryogenic Engine
The external force had succeeded in getting the top brains both directly in-charge of the cryogenic project being forced to abstain from work. Espionage was a serious allegation and demanded through grilling, at the end truth had prevailed. 'Narayanan' and ‘SasiKumaran’ were held back from their office for 4 years, before being reinstated. The ‘Cryogenic project’ had suffered, the damage was done, and the Project Director (PD) was in a jail and the In-Charge of propulsion and Cryogenic systems accompanying his PD in the cell. The case was nothing short of counter-intelligence operation, the eminent souls ‘Narayanan’ and ‘SasiKumaran’ were merely the collateral in a massive operation against Indian interests. India’s Cryogenic dream was put on a back burner, for once the motivational level of ISRO was questioned but there are no barriers for reasoning and developing minds. And there’s ample of it in the ever capable ISRO, the Cryogenic dream is a reality dream today. We’re a select few in the world to posses this complex technology, be proud we developed it indigenously but let there be remorse it was at the cost of the career of two of India’s brightest minds.

The question that will haunt us for years to come is the role of the foreign agencies. Was there no foreign agency involved in it, but everything a mere coincidence? Coincidence doesn’t play out in a organization, surely not in the case of two meticulously working scientist. So who was it really at the end who had partially succeed in sabotaging, India’s dream project? Was it the Russians? Surely not they worked with us, they transferred the technology right under the Scanner. How about considering Pakistan, India’s long time foe? Well the possibility is real, but could Pakistan really get to know something Indian agencies had shrouded in secrecy, the world’s best agency was yet to get a taste, ISI making a mark is really bleak. The other three in the list are a bit interesting, how about USA, France and China?

Cryogenic Upper Stage being integrated with GSLV - D6; ISRO

Well it sounds a bit like a power league story, but the one’s to really make anything out of the deal were only these nations. France was a nation that was still mastering the developed technology, the path an ahead for tasting success was pretty far. France is a nation that has stood by India’s side even during its toughest time, remember France is one of the only nations not to impose sanctions on India shortly after nuclear tests. China is a possible conspirator, tensions were high but China itself was still developing the technology and was on the path to prove the Asian power to the world. The rise of India would surely have been a concern for China, but the resources at its disposal were extremely minimal, was it really capable of pulling off such an orchestrated operation. The first on the list would be USA, America had successfully developed the cryogenic system and India relied heavily on their launch system, would you let your costumer develop on your technology and on the top take away your clientele? Sounds a bit realistic, justified and worrying, doesn’t it. Was it after all the world’s best spy agency CIA under the behest of Clinton, which had blocked the ToT that had momentarily sabotaged India’s cold dreams? The question will never be answered, its our imaginations our conclusions but for victims like 'Narayanan' and 'SasiKumaran', the question haunts, their future stares at uncertainty. But the lose is for ‘India’, isn’t it ?????
