Russia confirms Pakistani interest of Mi 28 NE

Pakistan once again looks into the Russian military hardware to expand it's military's fighting power. A Pakistani diplomat confirmed the Mi 28 NE interest to the Janes. Pakistan already operating wide range of attack helicopters, again looks for another Russian attack helo. As Russia express defense cooperation with Pakistan on two grounds, Air defense and counter terrorism.

Pakistan increasingly looking to expand the relationship with Russia, by buying modern attack helicopters and other military hardware's. Earlier Russia and Pakistan concluded a deal to buy four new Mi 35 attack helicopters, where the deliveries soon to takes place.

The Mi 28 is modern dedicated attack helicopter, even can withstand from large caliber bullets like 23mm and 30 mm. The Mi 28 NE has dual control. The helicopter can be controlled by either the pilot or the weapon officer. one of the known unique features in the Night hunter series, which was recently entered into serial production.

The Mi 28 comes with mutli purpose 30mm machine gun for dedicated ground attack. along with rockets and anti tank missiles for close air support missions to the ground troops. the advanced sensor suits easily filters the threat and engage it with high precision, where Russia showcased such capability in Syrian theater by attacking Syrian rebel targets.

Modern self protection suits and hardened armored structure can protect Mi 28 from advanced AAA systems and MANPAD's. along with a 360 degree situational awareness system. Pakistan will get the modern Mi 28 NE the same which will be ordered for the Russian forces who currently in serial production.

Heavy weapons fitted in the Mi 28 can makes the helicopter best for convoy protection and escort missions. the Mi 28 can provide close escort for more than two hundred kilometers. which is very low combat radius compared to it's competitor AH 64 E. which was chosen by the Indian air force over the Mi 28.

However the Mi 28 can carry more payloads than the Apache, Mi 28 can carry 16 anti tank missiles along with 40 rockets in two pods. while the Apache can carry eight anti armour high performance Hell fire missiles along with thirty six 70 mm rockets. In performance wise the Apache leads in all missions.

The gun fitted in both helicopter has 30mm caliber comes with more than 1000 rounds. The gun in the Apache can be controlled by the Pilots eye vision. while the same not available in the Mi 28.

The Americans never give the Apache's to the Pakistan who has long range and high performance compared to all other attack helicopter. Apache is the only attack helicopter whose combat radius is more than 400 kilometers, while other helicopters like AH 1 Z viper and Mi 28 has a combat radius of 200 km and 180 km respectively.

In earlier the Russians first offered the Mi 28 NE to the Pakistani's, however later it was withdrawn after heavy pressure from the Indian government. However nowadays the growing deeper relationship with Russia, even Pakistan gets handful numbers of Su 35 S from Russia.

Russia announced last day, that the Russian forces and fighter jets deployed in war-torn Syria, will start pull out's from today. The decision made up by President Putin after considering with the Syrian dictator Assad. Russia deployed its fighter jets, missile systems, and special forces into Syria to safeguard the Assad regime from the west sponsored Syrian Sunni rebels.

After five months of intensive war fighting in Syria, Russia almost saved the Syrian dictator from the country's militia man. In early September the west sponsored Syrian rebels gathered major victory against the Syrian regime and move towards major port city Latakia and the Capital Damascus. with the tactical air deployment of Russian air force and Navy helped the Syrian regime to pull back the rebels from strategic locations.

Putin said in an interview that, Withdrawing from the Syrian theater will encourage both parties to accept a truce and this leads to a mutual understanding to cooperate peace process and continue to maintain the ceasefire.

Russia is not withdrawing from Syria completely, while they slowing down the operation,  Syrian sources confirmed that air defense systems like S 400, and Pantsir along with some modern fighter jets which include Su 30 SM and Su 35, and ground support systems like BTR infantry fighting vehicle and T 90 main battle tank will remain stays in Syria.

Sanction put on Syria since the civil war erupted in 2011 that selling such long range weapon systems, missiles, and fighter jets are banned by the international organizations. Leaving those modern weapons in Syria would breach the sanctions. However, Russia and Syria won't care about them.

The peace talks after the ceasefire agreement between the Syrian rebels vs Assad forces and his allies start effectively from February 27 this year. Even during the ceasefire, heavy clashes reported by two sides, the rebels also managed to shoot down a Syrian MiG 21 fighter jet on Monday.

There is many doubts raise that, recent developments in the Syrian theater, that gulf states start arming the rebels with anti-aircraft systems, who poses serious threats to the Syrian and Russian military wings. No civil flights allowed flying over Syria and Iraq since the start of Syrian civil war in early 2011.





Putin said that he has evidence of gulf states include Qatar and KSA sending lethal anti-aircraft systems to Syrian rebels through Turkey border.  this would pose a serious threat to the military jets flown by both Russia and Syria. So far rebels have no MANPAD's. otherwise, West and America keep the MANPAD's only in safe hands. There is no spotting of American Stinger or any other west Man pads found in Syria.

Putin also said, Turkey almost masses their forces close to Syrian border, that they will start a ground offensive in coming days. However Turkey already using the artillery's to bombard Syrian regime, ISIS and PKK positions close to the Turkey border. The US forces along with NATO almost finished construction of a military base close to the Iraq-Syria-Turkey border.

In another angle, Putin's withdrawal from Syria indicates, Russia also wants a political solution in Syria, the only option to end the civil war. Putin's this move may threaten to end Assad's dictatorship in Syria. If Russia withdraws from Syria, it would be a major setback to the Syrian regime.

The Russian lost very few in this war, that's less than ten Russian military and civilian contractors. and a Su 24 who was shot downed by Turkish air force. The Russians never entered in the battle by its foot. They used cruise missiles and bombs to stop the Syrian rebels forces.

   After hurdles and issues many sources quoting contradicting reports about the FGFA acquisition plans. The reports include low number of FGFA acquisition who leaving no details about PAK FA and more than 40% less contract value that means the amount decreases from initial $6 billion to some $3.7-$4 billions with the initial investment of $1 billion by both Russia and India.

    Two independent sources from Broadsword and Arming India confirmed that the deal value gradually decreased from the earlier agreed $6 billion into less than $4 billion. Both nations have to spend nearly $8 billion for the project. as already said the PAK FA is 50-50 work share for both India and Russia. while Russia already invested huge amount on the PAK FA project and awaiting India to invest the promised amount in the project.

   Once again, The PAK FA project is nothing but a significant advantage to the Russians, India buys the entire PAK FA research and development papers and technology for some $4 billions. Then build the same copy in Indian plants. Just like 100% Transfer of Technology. This allows India to modify or re engineer the PAK FA to design and develop the FGFA. The FGFA noting but a improved version of PAK FA with some Indian and Israeli components.

    Under the earlier plan in 2008. IAF plans to buy nearly 250 FGFA units and another 144 PAK FA from Russia. Later the same cut downed by some 50%. Means India buys 120 FGFA and 63 PAK FA units. Now the numbers once again downed by just some 60 FGFA units only. Same like how the Americans once planned for the Raptor production, later it went upto just some 187 units than the proposed 750 units.

   The IAF suspecting some glitches in the PAK FA. So they informed the authority to evaluate the PAK FA before investing into the Project. This is a precaution measure rather than falling in the trap just like the Su 30 MKI. The reason of MKI's low service availability is mentioned as lack of service spares from Russia and issues in the Engine. So IAF won't repeat the same once again.

    Some information's revealed that, India negotiating for the FGFA flyaway cost could be lesser than $200 million a piece. That means $4 billion for R&D, $300 million for PDC and XX number of FGFA into $200 million. so Typically the FGFA acquisition cost for some 60 units is estimated around $16 billions. that's just for FGFA acquisition only. The flying cost, missiles, spares are extra. A easy calculation for someone, 10 years life span plus total package of 36 Rafale negotiated between some $9 billions. Fly away cost for single Rafale F 3 R is some $100 million only.

    The Russians too not ready to induct the PAK FA in mass numbers. They plans to produce only 12 PAK FA units for just as trail squadron. Currently the Sukhoi developed nearly 11 PAK FA units for various testing. These prototypes being used to validate the PAK FA performance. The additional 12 PAK FA under the first LRIP may form as the trail squadron. and Russia plans to close the production line of till 2020.

    Many aviation experts suggest the PAK FA engine problem yet to be resolved. without solving the engine issues and radar reflections from engines, the 5th gen project won't complete. also many sources suggested the PAK FA's proposed engine may be ready by 2018. after testing the engine it is ready for mass production only after 2023.

    So Russia ordered more number of Su 35 S for the Russian Aerospace force. Actually there is no common difference in the Su 35 S and PAK FA except  those active sensor and processing systems in the PAK FA. meantime China and Pakistan are closely to get the Su 35 S in coming days. As Chinese Su 35 S orders in production line and the Pakistani's yet to sign the contract.

    Anyway till now India spend some $300 millions on the FGFA program. That India and Russia signs the PDC- Preliminary design contract. The contract details the, FGFA's detailed specifications and planned re works in the existing PAK FA platform.

   So far there is no confirmations from the government about the planned acquisition of FGFA or the PAK FA. How ever as I already said either India may walk away from the FGFA program or buy less number of FGFA.

    Pakistan and Russia once again coming closer by organizing a joint military exercise to validate the tactics and co operation between Russian and Pakistani armed forces, Both were agreed to conduct the first ever joint military exercise in mountains to enhance the relationship between Russia and Pakistan, A step to boost the Russian Pakistani military releationship.

    Russian commander in chief Oleg Salyukov briefed to media that, Russia plans to conduct/join seven joint military exercise with their allies, The major exercises include, Indian Russian Indra, Russian Mongolian Selenga, Russian Vietnam exercise along with the Russian Pakistani mountain drills.  

     The Pakistani's also confirmed the Russian press reports, Saying they were in talks with Russian to boost the military cooperation, they also pointed the recent contract of Mi 35 helicopters to Pakistan.

     Last week a Russian delegation arrived in Islamabad to meet with Pakistani counterparts to discuss about the attack helicopter delivery contract and the planned military drills. The Pakistani military chief Raheel also attended the meet, Sources said some other military deals too negotiated between Pakistan and Russia.

    Russia lifts the Pakistani arms embargo in June 2014, and send it's military leaders to revamp the Pakistani Russian relationship,  later in November Russia and Pakistan signed a bilateral defense cooperation to strengthen military relationship between both countries. In August 2015 Russia and Pakistan signed a deal to procure four Mi 35 attack helicopters with possible follow on orders in future.  

    Pakistan also asked the Russians to supply the Tor M surface to air missile in large numbers, The SAM acquisition program still in negotiations, The new generation mobile air defense batteries can pose serious threat to Indian air force, If IAF plans for a surgical strike inside Pakistan.

    Last year Pakistani Army chief visit Russia to discuss about the possible military sale of those Tor M air defense missile batteries, Pakistan also shown interest in buying the modified Su 35 S for maritime strike missions. Both the Russia and Pakistan confirmed about the possible negotiations for supplying upto 12 Su 35 S to Pakistan.

    It's already reported that Russia also assisting and plans to construct more nuclear power plants in Pakistan, with the assistance from China, Pakistan currently building three new pressurized water reactors.

     The Chinese government agreed the Russian proposal of sending ground troops in Syria to help Assad by fighting against Syrian Rebels and ISIS. The Chinese parliament passed a bill in last Sunday that would allow the Chinese troops to carryout anti terror missions abroad. After passing the bill, China announced that they will ready to deploy some 5000 elite special forces into Syria to carryout ground operation.

    China is known as five super power nation with huge military and ground forces. However China is known for least experienced ground forces in the world when comes to counter terrorism missions. Actually China too faced some terrorists activities in Chinese Islamic populated city Uighur, with the powerful ground forces China managed to eradicate the terrorist activities. China also deployed some ground forces in many African nations to secure their interests.

    Nigeria is known as better Chinese influence in Africa, Where most of the Business carried out by Chinese Tycoons. they were protected by the Chinese intelligence and Chinese forces. The China also earlier carried out drone tests in Nigeria. However the test failed. China always relies on their troop numbers. They easily outnumber enemy troops by deploying more troops in a matter of time. The Blue water Navy from China also kept ready near the coasts for emergency assistance.

    One of the Chinese special forces under PLA known as "Siberian Tiger" The elite ground forces known as conducting special operation missions in any situations. They were trained in Air and Water too. China plans to deploy some 2000 plus elite Siberian Tigers into Syria to assists Syrian Iranian Hezbollah terrorist led ground offensive against FSA and ISIS in Syria.

    Night Tiger is another Chinese special forces who specially trained in counter terrorism operations. The Special forces known as one of the first Chinese active Counter terrorism group which was established in early 2000. China plans to send some 3000 Night Tigers into Syria. They too work with the Siberian Tigers and their missions.

    It's a good chance to China to show their capabilities to the world, While most of the western military analysts founds flaws in each and every military hardware's. from their QBZ reverse engineered assault rifle to their modern Military Tanks too.

    There is some reports also circulated in the internet and media that Chinese Navy already dispatched the Liaoning carrier strike group to Mediterranean for possible air support to the Chinese troops deployed in Syria. The source is yet to be confirmed, From early October same kind of news appearing in the media and Internet. However still there is no clear information's about the carrier deployment.

    China remains one of the good ally to Syria, and committed to provide more than $30 billion for post war reconstruction in Syria. China is believed behind the Russian air campaign who provide economic assist to Russia.

    The Recent Indo Russian meet could be a very successful for Reliance, who signed number of memorandum's with Russian defense giants which include Russian shipbuilder cooperation USC and it's export Agent Rosboronexport, Reliance also signed another mega deal with Russian air defense missile maker Almaz Antey who produces the small Tor missile systems to the long range S 400 missiles. The total contract agreement could reach more than some $10 billions. Which is one of the biggest military deal signed with Private company.

     The new Indian government's agenda is produce almost every Military hardware's in India with foreign co operation. The major aspect is bringing private firms in defense sector to produce those hardware's then buy from local vendor. Many of the Indian Private companies like Reliance, TATA and L&T signed many contracts with number of foreign companies. Some of them move with western military industry. Where Reliance keep with Russians as bigger market with less margin.

     The recent PM visit to Russia accompanied by many Reliance officials. Reliance in negotiations with many Russian companies since last one year. The private companies won't waste time unlike government, One year of hard work gives better results to Reliance. It's reported many times here in the blog that Reliance officials camped in Russia to talk with Russian shipbuilders to build warships and maintaining older warships in Russian shipyard.

  

  First deal signed with the Russian shipbuilder United Shipbuilding Cooperation, The USC has entirely controlled by the Russian government, Having three major ship building and maintenance centers in Russia. Most of the Russian warships and Submarines are built in those shipyards only, Another contract signed with Rosboronexport for exporting and maintaining contract of Russian built warships.

     The estimated deal value of the above contract is more than billions of dollars. Reliance look to gain profit of some $10 billions within next fifteen years. The actual contract period is fifteen years. The signed contract is about to be

1. Modernizing all Russian Built Indian Navy ships under Reliance facility

2. Refitment of  all Russian Built Indian Navy ships under Reliance facility

3. Building more Talwar class frigates

4. Building Landing Platfrom Docks for Indian Navy

5. Construction of Missile Boats and Shallow water ASW Craft

     Reliance confirms the first two works should be carried out in Reliance shipyard only, For the others Reliance will compete with Indian PSU's. Reliance bought Pipavav shipyard in Gujarat. The Reliance maritime missions spearheaded by Ex Indian Navy vice admiral H.S Malhi.

     Reliance gets another good contract with the Russian air defense missile company Almaz Antey. who is also a Russian state owned company. Most of the Russian air defense systems are built by Almaz Antey only. S 125, S 300 and S 400 are good examples for that. The Russian government agreed with the Almaz Antey and the Reliance defense to build missile defense systems Radars and modernize existing systems in India. The contract further allows the Reliance factory's to build and sell those systems to Indian Military and foreign countries.

    The deal mainly focus the need of Indian Military's modernization of existing missile defense batteries. The recent DAC meet confirmed the proposal of Air force's modernization of S 125 systems with new electronics. The work could be carried out by Reliance defense only. since they get the contract from Almaz Antey to upgrade works.

Tor M1 Air defense system

     Almaz Antey also confirmed Reliance's option of building Tor M 1 systems in India. Tor M1 is known as one of the best known stand alone air defense system. The Indian Army has a requirement of  QRSAM which will replace the older sterla system. The Tor M1 Production option gives good opportunity to Reliance. If Reliance secures the Army contract.

In future if India signs the S 400 deal, Reliance will built those S 400 systems to Indian Air force.

     It's more than three months since Russia deployed it's tactical air troops and starts bombing ISIS and Rebel positions. Initially Russia told the operation would end in a matter of weeks, Many media reports also suggested ISIS won't survive against a massive Russian air contingent. However so far there is no real ground changes in Syria. Russians continuously bombing rebel positions with variety of new bombs include banned ammunition.

    After Turkey shoot down the Russian fighter jet, The situation has changed into different which forces Russia to deploy more powerful long range air defense missiles. The Russian aircraft's are forced to carry air to air missiles for self defense. However that wasn't decreased Russian bombing. It forced the Russians to intense the bombing campgain.

    Everyone claims most of the ISIS revenue comes with smuggled oil. Russia and it's allies blamed Turkey is trading with the ISIS oil without citing the sources. The Russians located some oil tanker convoy's and bombed them. Anyhow they never stops the ISIS oil business, Since ISIS shares border with KSA, Jordan, Iran and Turkey. Still the ISIS running good economy than many other governments in the world.

   The Russians mainly focusing Rebel controlled Aleppo city in west Syria. The intense bombing resulted hundreds of civilian deaths in Aleppo. The Russian air support provide good victory's to the Syrian government forces and it's allies.  Currently the Rebels almost pulled back from Aleppo. Which gives a good victory to Assad. As of now most of the Aleppo province under Syrian government control

     On the other side ISIS pounded by Americans from Persian Gulf, The USS Harry S Truman arrived Persian gulf days ago, and starts bombing ISIS positions in Iraq, Americans didn't perform much in Syrian ISIS targets due to the S 400 deployment in Syria. US plans only special ground operation in Syria. Almost all airborne operations in Syria withdrawn due to safety precautions. Americans deployed ground forces in several key locations which include Kobane and northern Syria.

    French on the other side deployed his aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in Mediternnan  sea. Where they carryout attacks inside Syria. Russians allowed the French to conduct missions inside Syria, and supports them too. France targets ISIS positions close to Iraq border with pin point delivery of PGM's from Rafale Aircraft's.

    France also used it's SCALP stand off cruise missile against Daesh positions. The missile hits exact positions and destroyed the targets completely. The Russians earlier used cruise missiles from Bombers, Surface ships and Submarines targeted Rebel and ISIS positions.

    Russia also plans for second air base in Syria for seamless operation. The Russians working on the Shayrat airbase which is located 25 miles off from Syrian city Homs. The Russians currently using the rotary wing platforms like Mi 24 P and other helicopters from Shayrat air force base. By modernizing the Shayrat air force base allows the Russians to use fixed wing fighter aircraft's too.

    The Germans also involved in the Bombing, They deployed some Tornodo ground attack jets and Euro fighter Typhoons for surveillance missions. German will assist the NATO partners by providing refueling support and satellite and reconnaissance support. German parliament agreed the government proposal of sending more than thousands of ground troops to Syria. However the actual ground reports of German forces in Syria yet to be confirmed.

     The Russians also planning to deploy some special forces in Syria for combat operations. There is many photos emerged in social media showing Russian forces fighting in Syria. Recent photographs shows Russian cargo ship carrying equipment's through bosphorus strait. That shows Russia soon going to deploy more ground forces in Syria.

    Anyhow, The Russian plans are dwindling, that they earlier planned to complete the mission within the end of this year. However many reports suggest China and Iran provides economic support to the Russians to keep fight in Syria.

    After the recent spur in Syria when Turkey shot downed a Russian Su 24. It's almost changed many things against FSA Rebels, Kurd Rebels and the ISIS. All three have  sponsors and have their own agenda which different from each other, which makes the Situation difficult to understand and solve through diplomatic routes. Kurds needs a separate country in Syria, Iraqi and Turkish Border, Islamic state need entire Middle east, and the FSA needs Freedom in Syria by toppling the dictator who gassed and killed nearly half a million innocent Syrians.

    Here each gets revenues from respective partners or sponsor. More than thirty five million Kurd peoples lives in the Iraqi, Iranian, Turkish and Syrian Borders. Their major goal is independent Kurdistan representing their own peoples. Majority of Kurds are Sunni Islamist's as well as some Shia minority living in Iranian borders. Another half a million Yazedi's living very closely to Iraqi borders. As said above they fighting against everyone, Like against Turkish, Free Syrian Army and the ISIS.

   Americans supporting the Kurdish close to Iraq and Syria to fight against ISIS. After Iraq, Kurd peoples in Iraq attacked most by ISIS. So here Kurd gets funded by Americans and the West to defend them from those brutal terrorists groups. On the other hand FSA gets funds from Middle east and west. and the So called ISIS gets fund from their own oils, which was smuggled through Kurd tribal area's via Turkey.

    Russians openly said, only after the shot down, It's the Turkey who buying ISIS oils. While Turkey blames Syrian Assad who gets cheaper oil from ISIS. Analysts confirms the ISIS extracted oil come to the Kurd Borders. and the bidding involved by Oil companies and some Nations as Russians told Turkey's Government, Who bids higher gets the oil, which was moved via Turkey or Syria to the ports.  Russians and Americans targeting those oil Trucks, However most of the Trucks are unable to  be traced.

    After the shot down, Russians deployed S 400 long range air defense batteries, That can track targets upto some 400 kilometers meantime it will engage airborne targets upto some 400 kilometer. The range can be covered entire Cyprus, Israeli Jerusalem and major Turkish cities which include NATO base Incrilik too. Makes each and every aircraft flying in the zone can be monitored and  targeted.

   This makes every foreign aircraft flying in Syria comes under the S 400 umbrella. Makes some NATO missions inside Syria also in troubles. Currently Some US, French Aircraft's conducting strikes inside Syria. Last four days there were very less airstrikes conducted by Collation aircraft inside Syria. Anyhow the S 400 in Syria won't make any real changes, However this makes sense of Russian plan to protect the Syrian airspace from rival aircraft's from NATO.

    Russia also warned Turkey to do not enter Syrian Air space, If Turkey do so Russians will strike the Turkish Air crafts. Actually Turkish Fighters comes inside Syrian Air space to attack Kurd Rebels. It's very rare. However this will happens occasionally. Last four days there were very less or zero Activities reported. While American F 15 C and Turkish F 16 D conducting Combat Air patrol in Turkish Border normally. Turkey also warns Russia to do not enter Turkish air space otherwise they will do the same.

   Russia almost broken all kind of military and economic cooperation's with Turkey.  This worsen Russian economic only. Since Russians export to Turkey is about some $25 billions every year. while Turkish export to Russia just $6 Billions. Which means economically worsen Russians sanctioning themselves. Russia almost lost it economic relation with west since the illegal annexation of Crimea and waging war in Eastern Ukraine.

    Anyway the situations will worsen only if Turkey and Russia clash each others in Black Sea or in Syrian border. unless there will be no more escalations in the Su 24 shot down.

    The Russian air force unleashed the Syrian air space by flying long range strategic bombers and long range cruise missiles from Bombers and Submarines. This is the third segment of Russian cruise missile strike since the tactical Russian air force deployed in Syria. This time it's a huge number of cruise missiles varying from Kh 555, Kaliber and Kh 101. Many of those cruise missiles and Bombers credited with combat debut.

    The Russian Defense ministry confirmed there were total of five Tu 160 Black Jack Strategic Bombers, six Tu 95 MS Bears and another fourteen Tu 22 M3 Bombers closely escorted by eight Su 34 Fullback and four Su 30 SM Flankers. All the fighter jets comes directly from Russian mainland by flying more than 6,500 kilometers. Bomber like Tu 160 and Tu 95 MS bear saw their first operational combat since their deployment in Russian fleet. Even the Tu 95 MS deployed in 1965 saw his first combat debut after fifty years.

The third time they fired the same missile from an submarine hits targets in Aleppo and Idlib suburbs.

    The Syrian battleground is a perfect place for Russians to test fire their newest missiles, The recent Strike involves a very low observable cruise missile dubbed by  Kh 101 which is a variant of Kh 55 missile, The Kh 101 is very long range low visible missile, Primarily used for nuclear strike from the Black Jack Bombers. Sources close to Russian intelligence expects the new Kh 101 has range of upto some 3000 kilo meters while Kh 102 is Nuclear armed cruise missile. Both are intended to replace the older Kh 55 from Russian Bombers fleet.

   The Kh 101 can fly at the height of upto 45,000 feet at the speed of some 0.7 mach, During the terminal phase the missile can descend 90 to 200 feet before striking the target. The Kh 101 can carry 450 kilograms of conventional warhead, while the Kh 102 can carry 250 kilo tons of Nuclear warhead. The missile use the Russian GLONASS navigation with terrain matching for guidance. In the Terminal phase missile can use the IR seeker for target lock. It's clearly looking that Russia evaluating his combat readiness along with the new missiles.

    The Syrian Air space is well protected and safe for Russian air operation. The Cruise missiles are effective in contested air space only. Russia can strike anywhere in Syria with his fighter jets with guided and dumb bombs ranging from 250 kg to 1000 kg, That can make damage to enemies more than the air launched cruise missiles. Most reports along with Russian defense ministry reports confirmed that targets are pointed at Aleppo and Homs, where a three side fight is ongoing between ISIS vs SAA vs FSA.

  On the other side Russia used the Tu 22 M3 for carpet bombing. The Tu 22 M3 dropped metal storm over unknown location in Syria. This could be more effective way of bombing, The dumb bombs carried by Tu 23 M varies from some 250 Kg to 2 Tons. Which means the fleet of 14 Tu 22 may drop more than 100 tons of ammunition's over the Syrian land in one day.

    The Strategic Russian Bomber fleets are actually a cruise missile carriers, which can carry long range cruise missiles from Stand off Ranges, Primarily designed to strike US Navy Aircraft's, US Airbases and American mainland outside from the US Air defense umbrella. The Russians almost tested all kind of Strategic cruise missiles in Syria. However Russian Defense ministry confirms that they were informed the Coalition Air groups before conducting the strike.

One of the crashed cruise missile identified as Kh 555 possibly launched from Russian Tu 95 bears. The pop up engine is recovered from Syrian deserts confirms it.

   The Russian Ministry also confirmed that The temporary deployment of additional eight Su 34 and four Su 30 SM in Russian Tactical air operation base in Syria. The Russians said the punishment to the ISIS is because of the Russian airliner downed in Sinai weeks ago.

    The Syrian battleground sees two major world power competing to hold military balance in war torn Syrian Iraqi territories. Even after the Russian close air support Syrian Iranian troops and Hezbollah terrorists failed to capture grounds controlled by Free Syrian army sponsored by KSA and west. On the other side US continuing help the Kurdish forces to fight against ISIS in northern Syria close to Turkey. Turkey is an NATO Member requested help from NATO to safe guard their air space from air space violations from Syria.

    Russia currently deploying some three thousands of Marine units and special forces in Syria. Most of them are Special forces and FSB comes from Crimea and Eastern Ukraine. Those Special forces performed espionage missions inside Ukraine and seized major cities like Luhansk and Donestk. Those Cities are now under control of Russian sponsored Militia's. Russia plans to move those special forces to conduct scout missions inside Syria to pave the way to Syrian Army to achieve the objective. Some photos in social media found that Russian special forces already operating inside Syrian Battle grounds.

    Spotters across middle east found continuous Russian deployment in Syria which include Russian Marines and other equipment's. Russia already has some two thousand plus troops inside Syria for many activities. They assist Syrian ground forces in the grounds, assisting command planning and conduct offensive missions, logistics supports like mechanics and ground support and many more. Even most of the Syrian Fighters jets are serviced by Russian ground crews.

    Russian forces also deployed air defense systems like communication denied systems to protect the air space by jamming fighter jets communication. Russia also deployed Pantsir S1 quick reaction SAM's to protect the Syrian air space from NATO and Israeli aircraft's. Even with the dense air denial environment Israel successfully performed two combat sorties and destroyed several Hezbullah convoy's inside Syria.

   

 On the other side, In Northern Syria US supporting the Kurd forces to battle against ISIS in Manbij and Jerablus. At first US deployed six F 16 C fighters in Turkey to safe guard their air space which was replace by twelve A 10 and six F 15 C. The Eagle's will provide cover and conduct combat air patrol missions close to Syrian air space. while the A 10 helps the Kurd forces to fight against the ISIS.

    US also plans to deploy another batch of A 10 warthog's in Iraq to support the YPG forces to retake the Sinjar provenance from ISIS control. US currently assisting the Sinjar offensive using their F 16's operated from Iraqi air fields. The Kurd forces planning to retake the Sinjar before the winter starts. The offensive almost stalled since there is no political cooperation between Yazedi's and Kurd's. Kurd forces allied with Yazedi's controls 20% of Sinjar as of now.

     Days ago US and Kurd forces conducted a special operation mission to retake key position in Al hawa close to Iraqi borders. The US Air force provided good small arms weaponry to the Kurds before starting the offensive. The ground support includes new set of mortar's Rifles and Rocket launchers. US also provided communication systems to coordinate US Strike package to hits the correct target.

     Three A 10 and one AC 130 gun ship roared over Syrian Air space and provided close air support. The mission lasted for more than hours. US continuously strafed the ISIS positions using GAU Avenger cannon and AC 130's howitzers. The mission successfully pushed the ISIS from Al hawa. and The Kurd forces retakes the city entrance and erects defensive positions.

   Jordon also concerned about ISIS build up in Al Tanf close to Jordon borders, and asks Israeli and US reconnaissance missions over Jordon Syrian border. earlier Israel provided some of the AH 1 Cobra helicopters to Jordon to keep the border's secure from Infiltration.     It's more than a month since Russian forces deployed it's forces inside Syria and launched air combat, Intelligence support and small special operations. However the Syrian Regime didn't get any good results even after the bigger campaign. The Syrian forces gets good support from Iran Russia and Hezbollah terrorists, where they can starts a major offensive near to Aleppo, a three front battle between ISIS vs FSA vs SAA. The battle starts more than 20 days ago still the ISIS hold it's grounds near Aleppo.

    Before the offensive, It's the Rebel forces who controlled the Aleppo suburbs and city center. The Rebel forces captured cities around Aleppo and they move towards Idlib and captured then they advances into Latakia Port. However the Syrian and Russian forces has only hope of using the port as a Military resupply pump. Once the Rebels tries to advances close to the Latakia port. The Russian fighter jets and special forces driven out the Rebels and pushed back from Latakia a successful operation lead by Russian Infantry.

    The Syrians main objective is to capture the Western Syria from the rebel forces, then only they can drive out the Rebels to engage the ISIS in eastern side cities like Palmyra and Al Raqqa. The Russians tried as much as possible to provide air cover to the Syrian regime forces, however they didn't perform much better. Since the Rebels has good equipment's supplied by Saudi's and West.

    The Rebel forces shown their best to defeat the Syrian regime and the ISIS. The Syrian rebels also have good strategy of special operation missions. Team of Rebel anti tank crew destroyed more than hundred Syrian armor, which include BMP personnel carrier and T 72 main battle tanks. Usage of the anti tank missile increased from less than fifty to more than one fifty within a month. The Rebel forces also enraging a assassination mission by killing key military commanders in the conflict zone.

    The Saudi's are the major arms supplier to the Syrian Rebel forces, KSA Supplied most of the US made TOW anti tank missiles to the Syrian Rebels. The Saudi's para dropping those weapons close to the Syrian border near Turkey, later it was transported through ground vehicles before reach to the Rebels hands. The Syrian rebels using US made Tow missile, Russian made Konkrus and Fagot missiles and the French milan's. Those are all second generation missiles need a crew keep guiding the missile till it hits the Target.

    Meanwhile The US forces contentiously dominating the Iraqi forces and brings number of good victories along with the Iranian, Kurdistan and Iraqi forces support. The Americans and west clearly co ordinate the ground forces and gives good air support, which liberated most of the ISIS stronghold in Iraq. However major cities like Fallujah and Mosul still under the ISIS control.

   Weeks ago, US Army's Delta Special forces along with Kurdistan special forces launched a surprise attack deep inside the ISIS heart center of Sinjar mountain valley. The special operation ends by killing more than fifty ISIS terrorists and rescuing more than seventy Kurdish, Yazedi and Iraqi civilians. During the battle  US Army's delta force special operator Master Sgt. Joshua killed during the daring rescue operation. Joshua is the first US Soldier who killed by the ISIS.

    Within next two to three days ISIS surprised the US and Iraqi forces by airing a new video killing civilians close to the earlier targeted building. This forced the Americans Kurdistan and Iraqi forces to fix the next target as Sinjar. 24 hours ago Kurdistan and Iraqi soldiers lead by US special forces and US Air force start a major offensive operation to driven out the ISIS from Sinjar. The Biggest battle is currently ongoing in Sinjar which is same like the Tikrit offensive lead US collation Forces

    Days ago, President of the United States announced deploying special forces inside Syria close to Kurdistan and Iraq, to carry out Special mission deep inside ISIS stronghold to give continuous shock. This allows the US forces to gather more intells about the ISIS advance moves by hitting their nerve center. The US Special forces also support the Kurdistan forces to carryout counter assault mission against ISIS. Reports also reveals that US may support Syrian rebels too. However sources clearly mentioned they will assist the Kurd forces only.

 The Middle east surprise man Israel also carried out a air strike just outside from Syrian capital Damascus. The Strike carried out by Israeli air force by destroying Hezbollah bound SCUD missiles. The missiles are in convoy's transported by the Hezbullah terrorists. As Israel earlier stated that "we won't involve any mess inside Syria or Iraq, If any one who threatens Israel, will be neutralized" . The Hezbollah's main objective is attack Israel and killing Jews, Since the start of Syrian civil war Israeli's bombed many times inside Syria by stopping advanced weaponry in hands of Hezbullah.

     These all shows a good lesson that Syria is free for every one, that any one can attack their enemies, The Shia controlled Syrian regime have only hope of Russians and Iranian forces for their survival. While the battle will continue for long time.

   Defense Ministry sources confirmed that India and Russia soon sign a contract to lease one more Akula class nuclear attack submarine to Indian Navy for next ten years. Defense Minister's from both India and Russia will discuss about the lease contract in early November during the Defense ministers Russian Visit, and the contract will be signed in December when the Indian PM and officials visit to Russia. However Indian Navy will receive the sub only after 2018, after completing the modernization and training the Indian Navy crew's.

   Indian Navy is looking to induct one more Nuclear attack submarine for Carrier escort duties. Navy already operates a Akula class submarine named Nerpa, Indian designation is INS Chakra. which was leased from Russia back in 2012 as a leased period of 10 years. The second leased submarine also the same Akula class it's either the Kashalot or the Iribis. However sources confirmed that Improved Akula class submarine Kashalot will be inducted into Indian Navy.

    Navy insisted the government about the shortage of Submarines in the fleet. Most of the Indian Submarines are not capable to conduct long range patrols since they are diesel powered. While the lone SSN always has a duty of escorting the high value Aircraft carrier from enemy underwater threats. By the way India soon to commission another aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The Carrier almost finished in construction and final touch up's going on. The Ship scheduled to conduct weapon trails and Air craft landing and take off trails. INS Vikrant already completed most of the sea trails.

    The Kashalot is an improved Akula class SSN. Same like the Nerpa/Chakara. Which is modernized in earlier days with hydrodynamic sensors, modernized Skat 3 sonar systems and better equipment which makes the submarine more silent. The Akula's are more quieter than the American improved Los Angeles class attack submarines.

   Even if the contract signed this year. Indian Navy should  await two to three years to induct the Submarine under Indian Flag. The Ship needs to be modernized with latest control systems and some Repairing works. Which makes the ships combat capable to next ten years without the need of any refit's. Also India would send some Indian Navy crew's to Russia for training. By they way all of these procedures would take nearly three years.

   The leased variant of Akula comes with eight 533mm Torpedo tubes. While the Russian Akula's comes with four 533mm torpedo's and four 650mm nuke torpedo's. The Type 65 torpedo's is not available for export due to International arms control regulations. The leased variant of Akula can hold some 40 torpedo's in it's arms cache. Since long range missions require more torpedo's for defensive/offensive operations.

    Same like others, The Akula also can capable to launch Klub class anti ship or land attack cruise missiles from it's torpedo tube. All of the Indian Submarine's has such capability's for long range interception. The Akula's can also lays  mines for trapping enemy submarines and escape from enemy chase. The Ship also have manpad missiles to engage low flying helicopters and anti submarine planes. Firing the MANPAD needs the ship to be surfaced.

    Also It's believed that Russia may sell those submarines to India once the ten year lease period expires. The deal value of the ten years lease period estimated more than billions of dollars, except the operating cost.

    It's almost a month since Russian Air force started bombing against the Syrian Rebel forces and ISIS positions, along with small victories near Aleppo provenance. So far nearly 700 plus sorties flown by the Russian Fighter jets like Su 30 SM, Su 24M , Su 25SM and Su 34. Which makes more than 50 sorties per day flown by the Russian Air force jets. Those sorties also include the deployed Helicopter gunships like Mi 24 P and electronic intelligent plane like  IL 20 Coot. The list gives a good light about all the Russian aircraft availability rate and combat performance.

   All the Russian fighter aircraft's and helicopters uses the Latakia based air force base for combat operations, and performs missions within the range of some 200 kilometers. Those Syrian Rebels are way too closer to the Russian Naval outpost, that's why the Russians suddenly deploys ground troops and fighter air crafts to prevent them to over run the Bases. Those airborne platforms are used for offensive operations and ground troops used to safe guard Russian assets in Syria. Rarely some times the long range strike aircraft Su 34 used for striking targets well beyond some 300 kilometers where the ISIS is operating.

    Most or some 60 % of Russian Air strike pounded just some 75 kilometers off from the Latakia base, which is situated in between Latakia and Idlib provenance. Those area's are currently under control of Syrian rebels, and some  25% of Russian Air strikes pounded over Aleppo city, the same place where a trilateral conflict between ISIS vs FSA vs The Syrian Army.  This is where Syrian Army gets more ground support to start the offensive in past weeks.

    Currently the Syrian Army Engaging the Syrian Rebels over three sides, Idlib, Aleppo and Homs. In Aleppo the Syrian Army needs to fight against the ISIS too. Initially the Syrian Army planning the offensive over the west of Syria to bush back the Rebels over east side, where most of the ISIS activities reported. The Syrian Army gets multiple supports from the Nations like Russia and Iran, The Syrian ground forces supported by the Iranian Elite ground forces known as the Quds Forces, Air strikes from the Russian Air forces, Milita support from Hezbullah Terrorists and Intelligence and other supports from Cuban's.

    The Syrians started the ground offensive 15 days ago, ten days after the Russians started Bombing. However the cooperation between the Russians and Syrians are way too limited. Since both are not good enough to use the modern technologies for calling a close Air support mission. The Russian low flying helicopter pilots visually identifies the Enemy positions before attacking, where the UAV gives clear picture to the Fighter jets to carry out attacks. This is something called very old statics since the ground soldiers are highly mobile and they won't use much armors.

     The Syrian Rebels using the US made Saudi supplied TOW missiles to take out Syrian Tanks and armored carriers. Also many witnessed that the Chinese HJ 8 and French Milan anti tank missiles too used by the Syrian Rebels. Anyhow all these missiles are second generation systems, thus need someone to guide the missiles to hit the target. Unlike third generation Anti tank missile systems like Javelin and Spike uses IIR and laser guidance for target acquisition and self guidance, makes the missiles fire and forget. The US refused to provide such missiles to the Rebels.

    Those Second generation missiles would be operated by a group of two experienced persons. Where Most of the Syrian Rebel members are defected soldiers of Syrian Arab Army. Even the FSA leader Noeimi is an Ex Syrian Military officer who  defected from the Syrian Army during the early days of Civil war. The FSA scored many armor kills during this series of defensive operations.Videos from YouTube and multiple reports from Conflict news confirms more than 70 Syrian armors were destroyed by the FSA in last 15 days using those anti tank missiles.

    Even though the Syrian Army slowly moving towards the Rebels strongholds like Aleppo and Idlib. The Syrians and Russian cheering with small victories. However there is major secret operation is ongoing headed by unknowns, to assassinate top military commanders in battlefronts. Recently one of the Iran's top military officer general  Hossein killed in the battlefield near Aleppo. There is some other high ranking  military officials also killed in front lines. Even more the Syrian rebels managed to fire a RPG over an Russian consulate near latakia.

   The Russians also pounding some Targets by using their long range cruise missiles, at first they fired some long range modified Klub cruise missiles off from Caspian sea, Week later they fired some missiles into latakia from the Russian Naval ships positioned near Mediterranean sea. Those are just some live missile tests it seems, where it doesn't makes good results when engaging threats like moving ground forces.

    Anyway there is a good days are coming in the conflict,  as The Syrian offensive almost started in full swing and they bound to enter the Rebel stronghold's. From Rebel side they just received modern weapons from the US para drop. makes the inventory having MANPAD's too which is yet to be confirmed makes them a good threat to low flying Russian Fighter jets.
