Doval drops bombshell, Says Army not ready for war

   National security adviser Ajit doval once again slammed the army's war preparedness level and indirectly accused the government to not allow the soldiers to carry out offensive operations along the Indo Pakistani border and occupied Kashmir. Doval said about Indian army's war preparedness level also decreased due to poor planning of Soldier deployment.

   Doval directly accused Pakistan, that they sending their soldiers as Jihadi's to test Indian Army's capability and weakness zone and create instability along the border, making the long line of border inaccessible for both nation. which derail economics and security. Pakistan doing the same for the past fifteen years, yet India didn't responded. This almost a successful mission for Pakistani's to continuously irritating India by posing as strong army.

    After Kargil, India deployed more than a division of Soldiers close to the India Pakistani border every year. Doval questioned, had the Pakistani's stopped infiltrating our border. After 26/11 Navy and Coast guard increased patrol duties, however the Navy's operating procedure stopped the infiltration, However that's not completely stopped.

    After the Ceasefire announcement by both side in late 2003, India and Pakistan moved the long range artillery's from the border. while they carried another option by sending more than thousand of jihadi's every year into India. This makes Kashmir and other border area's are remain security concerned area. 

     Doval accused the Army and Government who poorly adopted a decision by fencing the line of control. Doval slammed both military and political leaders, this makes our Soldiers become watchman not a true war fighter. He also pointed a example of fencing, "In WW2 the French build defensive fortification like bunkers, towers and fences along the eastern border to stop German's Nazi army, The results are known to everyone, The Hitler's troops easily outflanked the defensive position"

    Doval said the fencing idea comes from BSF, who first fenced the Punjab Rajastan borders and Bangladeshi border to stop illegal drug trafficking. However they failed to stop it. The army too adopted the same cheap and low maintenance solution. Pakistan continuously repeating the proxy war using the red line as fences, without fearing Indian escalation.

    Doval hinted some idea's, that government should allow and train the JK Police and other paramilitary soldiers to conduct counter terrorism operation. rather than sending army and special forces unit. The Army and special forces must be used to conduct cross border raids and special operations missions deep behind enemy lines. This makes some fear to Pakistan to slow down further sending Jihadi's into India.

     Doval also said, currently 40% of the Indian army in Kashmir handle only counter insurgency operations, and they will be routinely replaced by another 40%. This makes the Indian Army becomes best in CI operations not in war fighting. Those soldiers in Army doing CI ops and carry's more medals and promoted into Chief's later. This makes the army become para military not a true army to conduct offensive and defensive warfare.

     The point is clear that all the General's who serving in Indian Army has been participated in 1971 war. They will be retired very soon. the later one have no experience in warfare, but only in counter terrorism. the war planning and controlling the captured territory is different than the normal CT ops.

    Doval also concerned about the army defense spending, He says only 40% of the allocated fund used in the Army, while 60% spend for salaries. this is not good for a country with such huge spending forwarded to pay and allowances. this shows more manpower costs and less defense spending.

    Doval also insist to cut down the troops number by 50% . Currently the Army has more than a million of manpower, reducing this by half a million by next five years makes huge changes in army with induction of new weapons and support system. with the above said points, Indian Army once again become a true warriors.

Closing Ties, Russia and Pakistan prepares Joint Military Exercise

    Pakistan and Russia once again coming closer by organizing a joint military exercise to validate the tactics and co operation between Russian and Pakistani armed forces, Both were agreed to conduct the first ever joint military exercise in mountains to enhance the relationship between Russia and Pakistan, A step to boost the Russian Pakistani military releationship.

    Russian commander in chief Oleg Salyukov briefed to media that, Russia plans to conduct/join seven joint military exercise with their allies, The major exercises include, Indian Russian Indra, Russian Mongolian Selenga, Russian Vietnam exercise along with the Russian Pakistani mountain drills.  

     The Pakistani's also confirmed the Russian press reports, Saying they were in talks with Russian to boost the military cooperation, they also pointed the recent contract of Mi 35 helicopters to Pakistan.

     Last week a Russian delegation arrived in Islamabad to meet with Pakistani counterparts to discuss about the attack helicopter delivery contract and the planned military drills. The Pakistani military chief Raheel also attended the meet, Sources said some other military deals too negotiated between Pakistan and Russia.

    Russia lifts the Pakistani arms embargo in June 2014, and send it's military leaders to revamp the Pakistani Russian relationship,  later in November Russia and Pakistan signed a bilateral defense cooperation to strengthen military relationship between both countries. In August 2015 Russia and Pakistan signed a deal to procure four Mi 35 attack helicopters with possible follow on orders in future.  

    Pakistan also asked the Russians to supply the Tor M surface to air missile in large numbers, The SAM acquisition program still in negotiations, The new generation mobile air defense batteries can pose serious threat to Indian air force, If IAF plans for a surgical strike inside Pakistan.

    Last year Pakistani Army chief visit Russia to discuss about the possible military sale of those Tor M air defense missile batteries, Pakistan also shown interest in buying the modified Su 35 S for maritime strike missions. Both the Russia and Pakistan confirmed about the possible negotiations for supplying upto 12 Su 35 S to Pakistan.

    It's already reported that Russia also assisting and plans to construct more nuclear power plants in Pakistan, with the assistance from China, Pakistan currently building three new pressurized water reactors.

The Chinese Type 99

    Pakistan Army set to receive brand new third generation Type 99 main battle tanks from China as a gift. The Pakistani's shows interests in the Type 99 earlier and evaluated them for future purchase. This would be a ideal replacement of older Pakistani Type 59,85,69  main battle Tanks, those are also acquired from the Chinese earlier which is unfit in current battles. Recently the Pakistani Army buys some 300 second hand upgraded T 55 Tanks from Serbia, to increases their Tank numbers close to Indian Army.

    The Chinese Type 99 delivery seems just a beginning. Pakistan plans to replace their aging tanks with modern third generation Tanks with in house developed Al khalid and another foreign Tanks like Type 99. They also planned to modernize the Ukrainian delivered T 80 Tanks into new standard with the help of Russia. The modernization makes the tanks more powerful to fight against Indian T 90 MS. Pakistan operates some 300 T 80 Tanks which are 2+ generation Tanks.

    Addition of the new Type 99 tank in the Pakistani inventory gives some good advantages against the superior power fire of the Indian Army. India deployed more than thousands of brand new modified  T 90 Tanks along the Indo Pakistani borders, with the option of deploying another thousand more before 2020. Compared to the Type 99 the T 90 also developed based on the T 72 Variant and performance wise the T 90 leads in the race due to light weight and more protective composite armor.

    The Type 99 is a third generation tank, features some advanced automatic technologies like auto reloader, electronic countermeasures, missile firing cannons and active protection systems. The Type 99 is one of the front line main battle tank of the PLA Army. It's believed the Type 99 is the upgraded T 72 which incorporates Russian and Western technologies. the smooth bore main gun, auto loader mechanism are all comes from the Russia, while the armors and optronics suites  are derivatives from some western armors.

 

   The Type 99 has some active protection systems to spoof off the guided missiles and the explosive reactor armor used to withstand from point attack shells. The protection systems are comparable to the Modern Tanks like T 90 and western Tanks like Challenger MBT. However the Tank yet to be battle tested. The Type 99 comes with digital architecture for fire control which reduces the tank crew and work load. The fire control system is the ISFCS-212 with an IR automatic target tracker, The Type 99 also has laser target designator, an IR searchlight, and an improved 2nd generation thermal sight.

The T 80 MBT

  The Indian T 72 too modified with some western technologies, which allowed the Tanks to be operated in day and night conditions. The Indian T 72 modernized with Polish fire control systems and thermal imagining systems. along with home made explosive reactive armors and Israeli made Navigation systems. The T 72 Ajeya also employed Laser warning systems and improved Engines. while the Type 99 superior in missile firing cannons only. Indian Army operates more than  2000 upgraded  T 72 main Battle tanks.

   The Type 99 can fire guided Missile Invar from the smooth bore gun, makes the Tank powerful against non line of sight targets, which allows to engage Tanks hidden from the plain. The laser guided missile can home into enemy target then explode with high explosive or tandem hallow charge warhead. The missile can be self guided or guided from the Tank for jamming resistance. The missile uses laser beam riding for guidance, allows to engage targets upto some  5 kilo meters. The Inavr missile also being used by Indian Army in it's T 90 Tank. The Indo Israeli cannon launched guided missile comes with better range and fire power which was employed in the Arjun Tanks .

Indian Army T 90

  It's believed Pakistan may modernize the first batch of 300 Type 99 to suits in Pakistan condition and  they eventually deploy those Tanks near Punjabi lines. showing their little offensive fire power against Indian Army. However the Indian Army set to receive third generation guided anti tank missiles from Israel. which allows the Army infantry group to destroy modern tanks like T 80 and Type 99. The Spike ATGM comes with laser and IIR guidance with top attack mode, which can defeat almost all kind of modern Tanks. While Pakistan don't have such fire and forget man portable missiles.

   Those Type 99 should need better air cover to work near Indian borders, Since the Indian Air force already inked a contract to procure  the modern Apache gunships with fire and forget anti tank missiles like hell fire. The Apache can withstand from the Type 99 secondary fire support systems like 12.7 mm and 7.52 mm machine guns.

   It's been like a normal scenario, Pakistani terrorists infiltrating the international Border and strike Civil buildings and Peoples, finally Army comes and kills those Terrorists, a Typical Asymmetric warfare, But what steps do India take to counter that moves done by Pakistani Terrorists, after Pakistanis failed in the Kargil, they move another plan by adopting Jihadi's to carryout Strikes and Suicidal bombings along the Kashmir Border, by advancing they finding  more ways to infiltrate the soft borders along the LoC.

    Just like Kashmir, in Punjab Today  Pakistani terrorists carried out attacks and leaving several peoples killed and wounded many other, inflicting damages to civil properties, making peoples feel insecure, the same scenario repeating here in Punjab a Indian state shares border with Pakistan, the same what happening in Kashmir everyday.

   Here India should rethink it's strategy when dealing with the Pakistanis, India suffer heavy damages due to this asymmetrical warfare done by the Pakistanis, The New Government assures that they will take tough actions to stop those Border infiltrations, but so far they take zero decisions to deal with the Pakistanis and tries to stick with diplomatic options, where Pakistan is not interested in such Diplomatic talks.

    The earlier government also does the same, when Pakistan attacks Indian Positions or supporting Terrorists to infiltrate the borders and carryout attacks against civilians, they calls the Pakistani High Commissioner and lodges it's protest, or comments like India will give befitting reply to Pakistani attacks, but truth is no real effects happens in the ground, and the same saga repeats itself.

   What the Current government is doing, they also repeating the same, as earlier expected, once New Government takes the power they will carryout Air strikes  along the LoC by targeting the Pakistani Terror Camps and  Bunkers Operated by the Pakistani regular Army. so far a Year the Pakistan continues its normal game, India too sounding the same just like earlier what UPA Regime did.

    Still no proper actions taken to stop those Cross Border actions, Earlier last Month, as Surprisingly Indian Special forces raid on a NSCN camp outside Indian Borders, even that Pakistan Threatens India into the situation just like a warning India won't try the same with Pakistan which makes bigger consequences. Within a week A border infiltration done by Pakistani Terrorists and killed some civilians before shot by the Indian Military forces.

    There is a clear evidences that Almost all of the Terrorists incidents happens nearby the Border is done by the Pakistani Terrorists with the support of Pakistani military, The Government knows that very well. But still no actions taken to stop this, while still believing they can give a life to a corpse means they can solve the issues with diplomatic options.
