The forgotten History of Operation Parakram

2001-2002 border standoff is one of the forgotten histories of Indian armed forces, who were close to the destruction of Pakistan, which was later called off due to International pressure. The Operation executed under the code name of "Parakram". It's a revenge of Pakistani terrorist attack in Kashmir State assembly and follow on the attack in Indian Parliament.

India is almost close to striking Pakistani positions during the Kashmir legislative assembly attack in October 2001, However ministry deescalated the tensions and slowed down. The Pakistani's didn't they carried out another massive attack on the world's biggest democracy's center The Indian Parliament. Which urged the government to make the decision to hit the Pakistan very hard.

India almost close to the war by mobilizing the troops close to the Pakistani border, International communities like UN and other nations like Russia and US asked India to restraint. India refused their advice and allowed the Army keep strengthening in borders.

End of December is the most important days in the history, where both India and Pakistan deployed their ballistic missile on ready to fire mode, air restrictions also imposed in the various zone. This alarmed all the International community that India and Pakistan close to nuclear war, where both nations acquired nuclear weapons years ago.

India deployed more than half a million of troops close to the Border while Pakistan deployed 0.3 million Soldiers. after the troop mobilization by both nations, Pakistan did Kaluchak Massacre by killing 34 Indian women and Children, most of them were son's and wife's of the Soldiers. this escalated further, India responded with the mobilization of army strike corps close to the border.

Lt.Gen Kapil Vij is the man who commanded the IInd strike corps. one of leading most powerful armed forces in India, equipped with artillery's, paratroops, Tanks, armored columns air defense brigade and special infantry platoon.

The IInd corps garrisoned in Ambala, where some of its divisions located in  Patiala, Dehradun, and Meerut, all those HQ's are some 200 km off from the border, During operation Parakam, GOC asked the troops close to the border, they were moved very close, i.e) 2 kilometer off from the border, If they get to go order they can enter Pakistan within few seconds.





IInd corps objective was set, that's the Lahore city, It's just 35 kilometers from the border, The powerful IInd corps can overwhelm any Pakistani defense positions and capture Lahore within next one hour. While most of the Pakistani troops are deployed close to Kashmir,

Meanwhile, tensions built up in Kashmir region with heavy artillery fire from both side, It resulted in the killing of six Pakistani soldiers and we lost one soldier. Pakistani's have no idea, what happening on the Wahga until the American satellites exposed the Indian built up close to Lahore.

Indian navy silently reading for the wrecking mission, Indian Navy ships entered into Pakistani territorial waters and waiting to receive the firing order. The Russians intervened the issue and trying to de-escalate the tension. The Russian President Putin acted as a mediator between India and Pakistan, where India is not in a position to hear others advice.

Analysts suggested that India went silent only due to the nuclear threat posed by the Pakistani's. Pakistani dictator Musharraf said, "he would not renounce Pakistan's right to use nuclear weapons first". Later 2009 another Pakistani analysts confirmed that "It was a big upset about what happened to the economy after the [atomic] tests in 1998, but was consoled that in 2002, when India mobilized half a million troops on the border after an attack on its parliament in 2001, but was finally forced to withdraw the "due to the danger of a nuclear retaliation by Pakistan".

Later in 2002, India starts demobilizing its troops  followed by a ceasefire agreement November 2003.

    Pakistan once again threatens with Nuclear weapons if Indian army tries an offensive inside Pakistani territory. If India and Pakistan once again enraged in a war the NDA government will allows the Army to conduct full blown offensive just like how Indra Gandhi gives free hand to the Tri services to go against Pakistani forces. The Indian Army currently fully equipped to fight against any dense battlefield. unlike earlier the Army will not conduct regular patrols alongside the border, They will cross the border and conduct offensive operation. It's the BSF's duty to safeguard the Indian Borders, like a auxiliary units for first line of defense.

     Pakistan is too much concerned about the Army's latest modernization of network centric battle forces. The entire armed forces connected with satellite communication, means they can work as a team and coordinate well with other friendly forces. However Pakistan is still in stone age military planning and execution. The Pakistan Army suffered heavily due to the internal politic issues. In case of war the Indian Army may mobilize entire conventional Army and equipment close to the borders within 72 hours.

    In case of war the first 72 hours of operation could be defensive mission to stop the Pakistani's illegal border crossing. This can be done by using the BSF units to. During the first 72 hours IAF would control entire Pakistani skies by destroying their early warning radar networks and SAM sites, and forcing their Fighter jets keep inside the hanger or they will loose all of their fighter jets in first 72 hours.

    In the first 72 hours Indian navy almost start blockading the Pakistan Naval supplies and locate and destroy Pakistani Naval Submarines. Indian Navy much concerned about the Pakistani Submarines. So Indian navy may look to locate and destroy the submarines. with the help of anti submarine planes like P 8 and Tu 142 they would locate and destroy those Submarines within 72 hours. If the Pakistan Navy tries to brings their Submarines into conflict. Meantime the Coast guard keep vigil to search for any suspicious Pakistani trawlers close to Indian EEZ. In wartime It's clear there will be no warning before shooting. 

    Within the 72 hours the entire Indian Army, expect the forces who deployed along India China border will be deployed near to the borders. They can be mobilized all over from India, meantime the Indian Naval groups also comes very close to Karachi port for possible Naval fire support. Almost half of the Indian Navy ships comes close to the Pakistani shores for Naval artillery gun support. This would provide additional fire support to the Indian Army ground troops, If they would be ready for offensive operation inside Pakistan.

    As the NDA governments agenda and the Army's wish is to capture the Pakistani occupied Kashmir. For that India may deploy a large column of Army units and BSF soldiers to conduct clean up mission inside PoK. with the close air support from Indian Air force and Army aviation units. The Support would be essential for a free backup to the ground forces, IAF and IA aviation use Attack helicopters like Rudra and LCH for such operations.

     At the end of first 72 hours, there would be massive pressure from International communities to stop  the offensive. When Indian Army ready to deployed inside Pakistan for some destruction mission. Pakistan knows they can't fight against the Indian Army. While Indian army is trained and equipped as superior as compared to Russian and American ground units. So the Pakistan will be forced to use their nukes to stop the Indian adversaries.

     It's clear that Pakistan will warn the Indians as the usage of  Nuclear bombs. While India focus on the conventional warfare on the first 72 hours. Pakistani's may start working to assemble their nukes  into hair trigger mode. The Indian and Western intelligence would smell the Pakistani nuclear loose status. Even there would be possible special operation could be initiated by the Indian and Israeli soldiers to seize the Pakistani nukes. Otherwise India may host the Israeli's fighter jets to carryout areal strike before conducting a special operation.

    If the deadly mission successful. then there is no need of using ground operation. If the operation is ruled out or failed, Then the Indian Army crosses the border and wage full effort to seize the Nukes. Meanwhile the IAF fighters keep circling over Pakistani airspace for possible missile launching. The IAF's massive surveillance platform can fly 24x7 mission inside Pakistani air space for their nuke activities. So it's hard for the Pakistani's to carryout a missile launch inside a denied airspace. even if they tries to fire a nuclear equipped road based cruise missile that would be the end of Pakistan.

    With the retaliation India washed out the Pakistani cities by launching multiple nukes makes Pakistan inaccessible for decades.

   The Army Chief of Staff Gen Dalbir Singh says that Indian Army must be ready for a Short war, which will happens anytime, same like Kargil, Pakistan may plans to infiltrate Indian Positions along north and west Borders, Army Chief said this during a celebration event of 1965 war Anniversary, currently being celebrated all over India.

   Chief addressed about the recent developments along the Line of Control, more number of Terrorists infiltrations and ceasefire violations with false claiming actually denotes a Hybrid warfare, something like unofficially declared war, those violations are something more compared to previous times, So it's need to be Army should be ready for a short war, If something like Kargil happens in coming days.

    The Pakistani's are more aggressive these days, ceasefire violations by using heavy weapons, and assisting Terrorists to infiltrate into India, at the mean time the Government sounds about the  nuclear weapons, and their officials alarming heavy retaliations in case of any strike, after the cross border raid in Myanmar, Pakistan is so worried about the same can be happens inside Pakistan too, as many Military watchers said India has the capability take control of the Pakistani air space and perform such air raid or special operation inside Pakistan, that's also put heavy pressure on Pakistani faces.

   So far the Borders are under control by the Border Security forces, who foils terror infiltrations and retaliating the ceasefire violations, the Army called in only if any terrorists activity reported, and they too patrol nearby Borders and closed zones, as recent violations, Army beefed up more patrols near borders, however they never involved in the ceasefire retaliations,

    The Army Chief also says the Army is in high alert as of now, and can be mobilized to borders with in short time, and the entire North and western Military head quarters can mobilize the entire Troops near to border within three to four days, means the forces can be deployed near borders with full swing, Army alone will not comes, they comes with bigger fire power from small mortars to heavy artillery and Rockets, the western command alone has some five plus armored Brigades, equipped with  T 72 Tanks, Pinaka Multi Barrel Rockets etc, Army Mobility or deployments means they can hold the deployed positions for the coming sixty or more days, while many of them say this is the so Called Indian Army's Cold Start Doctrine,

    Cold Start doctrine is a never acknowledged doctrine used by the Indian Army, which means deploying the Mass number of Indian Army Soldiers and support systems near to border within 72 Hours, and they can start a major offensive operation against the Pakistani Forces once they get go orders, however Chief does not disclose about army deployment near border so far, or any other media's or Sources reported that, however It's clear Army is in High preparedness mode, and can be mobilized in very short time.

   Currently most of the Kashmiri area's are under the watch of Rashtriya Rifle Forces, they were something like special forces, they were called in for any kind of  terrorists attacks or infiltration attempts  in Kashmir, and the regular Indian Army Troops conducts patrols as part of their designated area's.

           In the Beginning of December 2008, The US Senator Openly Bombshelled If Bakistan can't arrest the Terrorists who behind the 26/11 the Indian Forces can do Aerial Runs for predesignated attacks. while later the Indian Air force western Command chief openly admitted that IAF has already marked 5000 targets inside Bakistan. and IAF has also the capability of launching attacks from Indian Soil by using Standoff Missiles fired from Fighter Jets or Can do Aerial bombing runs over the Predesignated Attacks. those known predesignated target co ordinates roumerly provided by the Israeli Intelligence Mossad and the Indian Intelligence RAW.

      When Bakistani intelligence sniffed and heard Indian Air force Plans, they informaer the Bakistan Air force prepare for self defence and counter Attack. meanwhile some Indian and western Defence Analysts quoted that India may conduct a Short sharp war to destroy terrorists camps inside Bakistan. Thus also feared more to the Bakistani government the Bakistani Prime minister  again and again met the tri-service officials to prepare for self defence and Counter attack If Indian Airforce start the Bomb run. at the same moment Bakistani air Force on red alert and they running CAP ( Combat Air Patrol ) along the Border territories by 24x7. The most Bakistani's think that they are on war right now.

         Further Confirming the Indian Airforce Mulit Role fighter Mirage 2000 and Mig 29 fighters circling nearby the Rajastan and Amirtsar and the residents also instructed to prepare for Reallocation. The Bakistani's nearly Pissed when they heard  these preparations from Indian side. The Bakistani's think that Indian Mig's can provide escort and engage aerial threats to pave way to the Mirages starts the Bombing Run. when some Intercepted Audio signals published by US clearly mentioning the Bakistani's yelling we will fight till our last blood. that clearly indicates that Bakistani soldiers think that they can't able to fight such a Large and Massive Indian Forces Backed by Americans and the Israeli's.

            Indian Air force Completely Prepared for the Coordinated Strike. It's now the Indian Army who also threatens the Bakisani's do not cross the order when our Fighters cleared the Designated strikes. For that Indian Army Nearly Mobilized some 50000 Troops and 500+ Armoured Main Battle Tanks to the Frontier This further added more fear to the Bakistani's and what they think was once Fighters leave from bakistan the Indian Army will come inside Bakistan and Destroy the Balance Target.this adds more fuel into the Matter when a Israeli officials said in a Interview to the western media India may do a Lebanon in Bakistan and Israel support for that. that makes Bakistan more fear of Indian Control of entire Bakistan. Not only they feared about Indian Ground forces the real nightmare is that India deployed more Number of Short Range Theater Ballistic Missiles and Long Range Artillery's. where the Pinaka MBRL and Prahar Short Range Ballistic Missiles and deployed some unknown number of Brahmos Batteries. they also denoted that India Brings the Cold start Doctroine by Mobilizing some 50000+ combat soldiers to the Border withing two days. also the Previous Border Security Forces along the Border boosts the Capability of Both Offensive and Defensive missions.

       Countering the Indian Forces Bakistani Forces also Mobilized it's troops to protect the Bakistani cities Lahore and Islamabad and some other Divisions head back to the International Border area near to the Rajastan Border. The Rajastani BSF IG told publicly they monitored more military movement near to the Border area inside Bakistan. while India also deployed Battle Management  systems and Radars outposts to detect Bakistani Movements. 

        The Indian Navy also ready to some Massive damage to Bakistani Navy and their Port Cities they bring their Warships ready to Bombard Karachi where India also Planned to Amphibious Assault near to the Bakistani coastal Cities. they bring some Destroyers escorted by Frigates along with Landing Ships and The Biggest US Supplied INS Jalashwa Amphibious Assault Ship. When Bakistani's notified Indian Movements clearly showcasing not only a Short sharp war but completely making Bakistan as Lebanon. 

           When India all set for Destroying the Terrorists Sponsoring Bakistan who killed Number of Indians. and the Bakistani's also counted their days. as I early mentioned More Numbers of Bakistani's already in Chaos that their Army is pissing and They are the next. they really think that they are in war right now. When Bakistan has no chance to survive from Indian Plans of Attack  their last hope is thier Nuke Batteries. The Indian Army Officials  identified their Plans of using Nukes. So Indian Officilas called the Bakistani officials through the Red Telephone or hot Line to ensure not using the Nuke Bombs. India also warned the Bakistani's do not ever try for any misadventures in your Nuke sites. the Nuke issue also clearly closely watched by the Israeli officials they also setup-ed their Elite Assault Group on standby Mode. The Jewish state is also Threatened  by Bakistani nukes Several times. meanwhile US and England's MI5 and MI 6 also in high alert  to avert Bakistan using their Nukes.

       When no Options left for surviving, Bakistan finaly takes his Karma their next action is beg the western countries to ask India to stop Attacking Bakistan. The Phone calls flying tworads Islamabad and allover the World and begged " Please stop India they are coming ".  They nearly cried thorough their eyes and pen!$.

       On December 22, 2008 India Starts Firing Exercise in  three Firing Ranges nearby Border, and the Ships sounded their Horn. The Bakistani's are crying river oh my G-D they attacking us. It's not something
